🇷🇺🇺🇦 A 9/11 style of attack on Moscow by Ukraine. The Ukrainians seem so desperate, all irrelevant attacks with no significance to the frontlines. Meanwhile Zelensky tours Europe to tell them how much he can terror attack Russian cities, but no statement of winning on the front.

Another effective strike by Kiev against the ever-complacent and risk-averse Russian leadership. How can deterrence be restored for Russia? A brief analysis follows. 🧵

In October 2025, Ukraine launched 150 drones at Moscow Oblast in one day. Not a single drone was able to impact. Today, in June 2026, Ukraine launched hundreds of drones at Moscow, of which a minimum of 8 impacted (probably more). Russia's interception rate of Ukrainian long-range drones is still very high, probably over 90%, but Ukrainian drones are of much higher quality now, and the Ukrainian command has learned from past mistakes on how to successfully carry out these long-range strikes. I don't think Russia's air defence has gotten any worse. I would even argue it's improved because of their interceptor drone programme. One thing people forget to take into account is the fact that Russia is the largest country in the world, making it impossible to completely cover it with air defence. The fact is, Ukraine hast just gotten a lot better at drone warfare, and is continuing to improve their capabilities.

@EUvsDisinfo Oh no. So the cities were fake then or does that just have zero fucking relevance to the point? And it's just you being a propagandist, trying to cast doubt to protect your narrative

I've always been astounded at just how apolitical most Russians are. There are literal nations, military alliances and economic blocs dedicated SOLEY to undermining and antagonizing Russia, an entire continent is committing energetic suicide just to spite them. They've been the archetypal "bad guys/evildoers" in western pop culture for decades, no other ethnic group or nation is allowed to be vilified and dehumanized with full approval of the western rulling class like the Russians are. And yet Russians barely give a shit. They should garner apocalyptic levels of hatred and hostility towards the people who do the same to them. The unifying ideology of the russian nation should be to oppose, deter and fight these people. But no, not only is there 0 ideological zeal among Russians, lot of them still believe they're part of their club! And gravely, Putin himself is one of them. It is by far the biggest Russian weakness in this conflict.
Jn Andris@YannisAndris

The most striking aspect of this is the jubilation of the populace. Iranians are ideologically vested in this war whereas in Russia the authorities are foolishly trying to de-ideologize everything out of fear for their vaunted stability.

@3days2Kiev @agris1144 @xertsaa Case in point, a zigger being mad that their retarded historians and western shills are incapable of rewriting and falsifying overly abundant first account witnesses of grandparents generation, that red army was no better than SS if not far worse.

The Russians are bombing frontline cities in such a way that Ukrainians have literally nowhere to hide and are forced to retreat (those who aren’t buried beneath the rubble, of course). You have to admit this is pretty impressive. As long as the Russian Air Force can operate freely over the front, Ukraine has zero chance of holding any city indefinitely.

Can someone give me a great answer why the Russian flag is banned in most international competitions despite the Ukraine conflict having one of the least civilian casualties in history? Meanwhile Israel, the US, the UK get nothing over the genocide in Gaza, Iraq and Vietnam.

🕯 Starobelsk, LPR. May 22. A Ukrainian terrorist attack claimed 21 young lives (most of them girls born in 2006-2007) & left 60+ people injured. Unlike cowardly @BBC & @CNN, 51 real journalists came to see the site for themselves & speak to witnesses. This is what they saw.

@BanderiteAzov Not really Ukraine didn’t have to kill their own students on territory Ukraine claim is theirs. Wonder how you’d be acting if Russia killed their own civilians in a drone attack.

@M_Simonyan This is the lack of talent problem that I am alluding to. Emotional appeal is never gonna work, when the circumstantial foundations are extremely weak to begin with. It appears that not even Zakharova believes in any of the words that came out of her mouth lol

Zakharova on Starobelsk: Western diplomats not only questioned what happened, they claimed that there was no terrorist attack at all, no strikes on the college and the dormitory. They even said there were no schoolchildren there. That these were quarters for servicemen. This was horrifying. We have received international messages from those shocked by the slander and lies of the collective West.
Margarita Simonyan@M_Simonyan

When BBC refuse to go to Starobelsk, and CNN say their Moscow bureau is "on holiday" - they think it's still 2003 and all it takes to win information war is hushing stuff up. Meanwhile, this week in China - and we have the stats - literally 100s of millions saw images from Starobelsk. The world is not waiting for Anderson Cooper's take.

@M_Simonyan I think you should seriously consider the possibility that your falsifications are of such low quality nowadays, that not even dimwits from BBC or CNN are entertaining those. You need to buy better propagandists, there are appears to be a serious lack of talent among your ranks.

The US and the transatlantic alliance cultivated generations of European political elites to internalize American security perceptions as their own. The irony is that even after Washington started to shift its strategic priorities, many of these elites stuck to the old ways. They know no better. These people live in a fantasy world of their own creation. The Baltic states aren’t a “buffer” against anything. In fact, they are a threat to any renormalisation of relations with Russia, which is overwhelmingly in Europe’s economic and security interest. This is the historical role they’ve been assigned by Europe’s enemies (primarily the transatlantic military-intelligence establishment) — whether people like Egle are aware of this or genuinely believe they’re “defending Europe” (which is hilarious) is irrelevant.
Egle Markeviciute 🇱🇹🌐@markeviciute

Let’s not romanticise the subject, we’re a buffer. A buffer through which the rest can be protected (logical, self-interest driven motivation). Left or right, far left or far right, eventually all come to the same conclusion. The expansion happened not due to “sociopathic Baltics”, your compliments are far too generous.
