Hello, question about your call the other day about if students have access to a computer, is this meaning a deaktop/laptop or is a tablet ok? I have 3 children in the PVSD but only 2 computers. Will this be a problem?

@StanleyHochfeld No decision yet on a graduation ceremony. I’d expect some decision on prom shortly.

@pvsdsuper Do we have any updates as to the status of prom and graduation? Some other schools know they have been postponed. We on the other hand haven’t been told anything. As a senior it would be immensely upsetting to not get to walk at my graduation or to have a prom.

@pvsdsuper your second phone call made me laugh. I had to ask my son what day it was today. It's only been 4 days home for me and already I don't know what day it is. Lol. Keep up the good work!!

@oliviasholcomb To clarify I did not say I want anyone to make these days up. I said we need clarification specifically that the normal deadline of June 30 to reach 180 days has been waived. That’s all. We need that clarified to be certain.

@pvsdsuper i’m just confused as to why the governor said we don’t have to make them up as long as you fill out a waiver but now you want us to make them up? doesn’t make sense to me

Must days b made up...closure came @ 3:30 Friday. We don’t have this info yet. I’m not going 2 mislead people-we need clarification. As of now these r non-instructional-that might change over next few days. Have patience and hang in 4 now

@aileen_blas It is great to hear from someone whose student likes school! Please know we are working hard to get everything clarified and I’ll get info out as soon as I can.

We will not penalize schools/districts that fail to meet the minimum 180-day/hours (990/900/450) requirements as a result of #COVID19 response efforts.

@ludwigwx @VWeatherWatcher Again that’s not necessarily true. By law we have until June 30 to make up days. He didn’t say that date is being waived. We need further clarification regarding this.

PVSD community...things are changing by the day...know that right now we have no cases of COVID-19 in the district. We continue 2 follow all recommendations & are working on cases case by case. I’ll be updating everyone officially Friday.

@busmanl30 @AirborneNA @Isaacm_22 @reghancole That’s simply not true. His order said districts would t be penalized if they can’t reach 180 days. We have until June 30 to reach 180. I won’t mislead anyone by saying right now we don’t have to make them up until he waived the June 30 date.
