@whignewtons @DeTahmineh Would someone in Washington yell, “Stop with the hair extensions!”
English

@DeTahmineh Yes but that history and tradition didn’t have women with careers and breadwinning capabilities. All of this is incredibly new to history but women are keeping the residual peacock workload while competing with men in the workplace. It’s a poor use of time!

@McCainJack When we travel out West to hike or first stop after landing is Costco to buy bear spray and boxed wine. (Then Walmart for supplies.)

@GovernorShapiro War of choice? Iran attacked the US in 1979 and has been attacking us ever since. We just pretended they weren’t at war with us. Your statement implies you’d let Iran have nuclear weapons. If that’s your policy, put it in writing. If not, what action would you take to prevent it?

Gas is approaching $5/gallon. Health care premiums are skyrocketing and forcing hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians to drop their coverage.
Donald Trump's failed economic policies and war of choice are screwing over Pennsylvanians.
Here in Pennsylvania, we're focused on lowering costs — it's why we've cut taxes 7 times.
I'd recommend the President change course and follow our lead.

@RepHoulahan Why is this a Federal issue? The national debt exceeds the nation’s GDP. Our interests payments on our debt exceed our national defense budget. Billions of dollars went to fraudulent enterprises. Will you ever learn to focus on the most critical issues?

@sentientist @JonahDispatch How would I know about this study without Twitter?

@CBSEveningNews & @bariweiss: Absolutely major fail this evening. Multiple times CBS ran video of people comment on China events without identify who they were. Fix this. Fix it now. Demote or fire those who allowed this to happen. Anything less is unacceptable.

@GovernorShapiro @FIFAWorldCup @MenInBlazers You’re kidding yourself if you think Philly is ready for all these international visitors. The airport is terrible. The city is dirty. Morning news consists of the daily body count, car jackings, and other crimes.
English

The @FIFAWorldCup is coming to Philly in just 33 days, and the city is pumped.
I talked all things Philly sports and tourism with @MenInBlazers last night — watch at youtube.com/watch?v=43iwH3…

@BDHerzinger @cdrsalamander They are correct. Taiwan should govern mainland China, which would result in a recognition of true human rights in mainland China and a political system with a truly democratic government with minority rights. This would lead to a resurgence of development.

@StevenBeynon @JenGriffinFNC Also happened to my son when he was with 25th ID. No money for fuel or training ammo, so his Stryker platoon’s training was effectively infantry training. They only drove their vehicles once or twice a month.
English

@StevenBeynon @JenGriffinFNC Same happened in ‘79 while on a WestPac cruise on CV-64. But my squadron VA-146 flying A-7Es had close to 100% availability while the F-14 squadrons were much lower, so we got their fuel funds. A-7s were even flying alert 5s because the Tomcats couldn’t launch that fast.

@RepHoulahan You’re talking about the war Iran declared on us and the West in 1979, right. They don’t seem to think it is aimless; their goal is subjugation. As for endless, they see no end until they win.
English

@CVW19752015 @cdrsalamander Those acft are older than my sons and one’s up for CDR…

@TheStudyofWar And what is the probability that they lie? Based on the history of communist leaders, I’d guess the probability they are lying is 100%.

NEW: North Korea altered its constitution to codify its “hostile two-state” policy and define its territorial borders as not including South Korean territory. This indicates North Korea’s abandonment of its reunification goals and will likely make inter-Korean dialogue less likely in the near term. (1/2)
Other Key Takeaways:
North Korea amended its constitution to codify a decentralized nuclear command and control structure (NC2), likely to counter South Korea’s offensive military doctrine. North Korea also likely adopted this change to reduce the perceived vulnerabilities of an NC2 centered solely on Kim Jong Un.
North Korea and Russia are continuing to expand their cooperative efforts across domains. North Korea is likely seeking to reduce its dependence on the PRC and counter the US-led international order.

@JoshShapiroPA Yes, we need more bureaucrats, more experts to rule our lives, more regulations, more handouts. My representative, @RepHoulahan, has just come to realized we need more munitions — she’s been on HASC for years & she just figured it out? We don’t need you Gov.

Donald Trump and his allies are attacking our freedoms and our democracy while they raise our costs, cut our healthcare, and give unnecessary tax breaks to those at the very top.
This November, we will have a referendum on that chaos, cruelty, and corruption in Washington — and in our Commonwealth, we're fighting to flip four Congressional seats and win up and down the ballot.
We are ready to stand up and fight back.

@NSTRIKE1231 I guess the restricted availability of fertilizer has nothing to do with this battle….

🇺🇸🇮🇷 President Trump:
“NATO has proven that it is a ‘paper tiger’. They weren’t there to help at all.
The interesting thing is that many NATO countries use the Strait of Hormuz — but we don’t even use it.
We don’t need that strait. We were doing this to help Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and others.”
English

@themaritimenet @mercoglianos Just think how bad it would be if there weren’t a ceasefire deal in effect.
English

HMM Namu was first reported as a ship fire near Hormuz. Now South Korea says two unidentified airborne objects hit the vessel’s stern about one minute apart.
The crew were safe, but the damage tells a bigger story. This is no longer just about fire response. It is about crew safety, route risk, insurance, and security in one of the world’s most sensitive shipping lanes.⚓
