This week 27 years ago we lost Oliver Reed while filming Gladiator. A generosity of spirit I’ve not seen in many others since, and plainly obvious from this clip, a deeply amusing man.

A group from the Rangers Regiment will be attempting to summit Mount Everest. They headed to Ballachulish in Scotland for a training camp put on by the Army Adventurous Training Group. ⛰️ The package included intense hillwalkings, Climbing, abseiling, Casualty training, amongst other things.

During winter deployment so far over a thousand Commandos have been training to develop their operational and survival skills in one of the most extreme environments on earth, ensuring that the UK can supply fully deployable forces anywhere to face any threats!

While Commandos train in 🇳🇴 Norway, over to the east, a 3 Ranger team was awarded their Jägare tabs by Chief of Army 🇸🇪 Sweden today. The culmination of a tough Arctic training package that started in the summer, focussed on reconnaissance and direct action behind enemy lines.
