Founding a company is an act of courage. Today, we launch a fresh new look for @Felicis built on the core belief that has guided us from the beginning: Fortune favors the brave. 🔗 felicis.com

If anything can be built with AI, it’s more important than ever to have the strongest team steering the ship. @paraformtalent specializes in filling tough roles with top talent, and their AI-powered recruiter marketplace is making an impact worldwide. x.com/0xjohnkim/stat…
John Kim@0xjohnkim

We raised $65M to build an agentic hiring platform that makes hiring as easy as pressing a button AI is accelerating faster than anyone imagined. As intelligence, data, and software commoditize, one thing becomes exponentially more valuable: human ingenuity That’s the future that @Paraform is building towards

Excited to share that @deeptraceai has raised $5M to identify and fix every alert in production. This round is co-led by @felicis and @matrix, with participation from @ycombinator. As AI generates more of the world’s code, the real leverage shifts to systems that help engineers understand and run it in production. Deeptrace is that reliability layer. Today, teams like @opendoor, @mintlify, and @phantom use Deeptrace to automatically investigate every alert in production and proactively catch issues before they turn into incidents. If you’re looking to automate on-call and use agents to monitor prod, please reach out!

Taste is judgement of what features to build, but more importantly what not to build. I see too many products that ship every idea and feature with no editing out unnecessary bloat. An example of disciplined shipping is Granola; it’s elegant because it seamlessly fits into an existing behavior rather than forcing a new workflow. Superior products win by doing one thing exceptionally well without all the unnecessary distractions.

The next wave of consumer AI will be about taste, not about who has the best model. When everything can be vibe coded and the barrier to building drops to zero, the winners will be the ones who understand the consumer and make products fundamentally easier to use. Taste is the new differentiator. Was fun chatting about this with @akashpasricha @theinformation

In my chat about building and investing in AI companies with @Canva's co-founder and host of Prompted, @themaninblue, we covered a few themes I think matter right now: • The most valuable insights are still inside people’s heads. Long-term advantage comes from understanding how users think, not just what they ask for. • Many of the most interesting startups aren’t chasing new problems. They’re revisiting old ones with new capabilities. • As models improve and access broadens, differentiation will come from workflow depth, insight, and taste. 🎧 Listen to the full episode here: ordnl.link/fpKlZCP

Beyond pumped to announce that @Felicis is leading @arena’s Series A. I’m honored to be partnering with this incredible team as a board observer. LMArena has quickly evolved from a leaderboard into core infrastructure for model improvement. It has become an essential source of feedback for every frontier lab and a destination for 5M+ monthly users to compare how models perform on their real-world tasks. Looking forward to working with @ml_angelopoulos, @infwinston, and @istoica05 on how the world measures and advances AI. Read more about our investment and partnership here: felicis.com/insight/lmaren…
Felicis@felicis

🚀 Today, we’ve announced that Felicis has led @arena's Series A. LMArena is answering an urgent need: As models proliferate and capabilities diverge, they’re helping us to understand which models are improving, how they compare, and how they behave on practical tasks. Unlike conventional data labeling, this feedback comes from people using the models side-by-side just as they would in their day-to-day lives. The LMArena leaderboard is just the surface. Underneath, it is a sophisticated exchange of signal between more than 5 million monthly users and frontier labs like OpenAI, Google, and xAI, who rely on these judgments to understand progress, uncover weaknesses, and push their models forward. We at @felicis are proud to have first invested at the seed, and are now doubling down by leading the Series A. Huge milestone! Congrats to the @SimularAI team!
Simular@SimularAI

Today marks an important milestone in the history of @SimularAI, the autonomous computer company. Our open source computer-use agent, 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒, scored 72.6% on the OSWorld benchmark, surpassing the human baseline (72.36%) for the first time ever. This milestone matters because it shows AI can now use computers the way humans do, and, in many cases, do it better. This is a glimpse of a future where work becomes faster, more accessible, and more empowered for everyone. #AI #Automation #Simular #AgenticAI #ComputerUse

The new ChatGPT Images is here. More precise edits, stronger instruction following, and up to 4x faster generation, while preserving details like lighting, composition, and likeness across edits. From quick fixes to full reimaginings, it’s easier to get exactly what you have in mind (this pic of me is exactly what I imagined...) Rolling out in ChatGPT starting today. openai.com/index/new-chat…

Incredible people, great vibes, amazing space. Still buzzing from the coffee and conversations. Thanks to @HedgeCoffee for partnering with us. This was the first event they've opened their doors for, and it was awesome. Thanks to all those for coming out!
Tobi Coker@tecoker

. @saradu, @pxd, and @felicis woke up yesterday with some of the best designers around from @glean, @OpenAI, @AnthropicAI, @Meta, @Apple, @sesame, @variantui, @producer_ai, @slopeagency and more, over drip coffee and (dusty) vinyls. AI brings new challenges to product design. Generative UX is a massive opportunity for true customization at scale. Always fun chopping it up with the gatekeepers of taste! @HedgeCoffee captured the vibe.

It’s easy to forget when you’re in Silicon Valley that most of the world’s knowledge work isn’t happening in a browser window or on a Mac. Two-thirds of the world’s desktops run on Windows, and a lot of work still runs on legacy apps. For AI to do economically valuable work (so long as there are interfaces for humans), AI needs to be able to 1) use the computer reliably 2) work across multiple apps, and 3) run on both Windows and Mac. We’re excited to back the @SimularAI team, training a computer-using agent and building a product that can automate computer tasks across apps and workflows like a person would. @angli_ai and Jiachen Yang are incredible researchers with over 50 published works of research between them and a natural awareness of what matters to customers and businesses. felicis.com/insight/simula…

So incredibly excited to be partnering with @ngavini, Steven Ramkumar, @AlbertPereta and team! Fun fact: this was the very first pitch I ever saw in a VC office. I was still deciding if I wanted to join @felicis at the time, and the firm brought me in to see a pitch, and that’s where I met Extra. The founders blew me away with their vision, experience, and product craft (and also set the bar unreasonably high for other pitches I saw after I became an investor). I’ve been using the app as my primary personal email app for a while now, and it keeps getting better. Can’t wait for more people to experience it.

This release is fucking huge. It's one of the biggest updates to LMArena this year! Code Arena is our next generation of coding evaluations, beginning with web development tasks. Here you can use models to build interactive websites and share them with your friends. The links are persistent, so you can e.g. build a game and play it whenever you want. Here watch two models -- @claudeai Haiku and @grok-Code-Fast -- compete to build a galaxy. In this case, I liked the "star-wars" effect of Grok!

🚀Introducing Code Arena: the next generation of live coding evals for frontier AI models. Built to test how models plan, scaffold, debug, and build real web apps step-by-step. Try Claude, GPT-5, GLM-4.6 and Gemini in Code Arena today!

At Salesforce, we built an early warning system to track customer health and predict churn. I’ve believed in that vision for 15+ years, and with AI, it’s finally real. Thrilled @felicis is backing @eliast @Agency as they announce their $20M Series A and launch Kai, an AI co-worker who knows every customer and never drops the ball. fortune.com/2025/11/12/eli…
