If you run a podcast channel, but don’t want to listen to 3 hour long episodes to find clips…
Here is an easy 3 step method that allows me to find clips in 5 minutes that average 80+ CTV:
1. Copy the URL of the podcast you want to analyse and paste it into - youtubetranscript.com
2. Then click CTRL + F to search for text on the website.
3. Type in hooks that usually perform well or a specific phrase you may be looking for.
I like to type in hooks like…
Have you ever seen
Have you ever
Do you know
Did you know
Have you ever wondered
Did you
Have you
Did I ever
Have you heard
Also, key words work quite well. Try think of words that are commonly used in cool stories. For example…
Insane
Hilarious
Crazy
Wild
Scary
Mad
Angry
When you type these hooks/words into the CTRL + F search bar you’ll be able to scan through loads of different timestamps and further analyse the clip quality.

@qualtrest Yeah i remember when youtube shorts paid like shit, its only recently they have starting making actual good money. It used to be genuinely hard to make a couple thousands with shorts, but now it's a whole nother story.

@oskildtwt That’s my hypothesis at least, agreed I’m still very happy with the results. Tbf I did post it right when shorts monetization first rolled out too so that had an effect

@qualtrest arhh makes sense! And yeah ofc, definitely. 9k is good for a short no matter what kind of short it is. But especially with how simple and cheap your short is, thats just even more impressive.

@Nemanja_YTB @oskildtwt I created the vid myself, hadn’t hired anything out at that time. Ik this doesn’t work for everyone but that’s how I got the juicy margin

@oskildtwt That’s what I noticed with this one, the audience percentages started shifting away from high RPM locations as I guess all the viewers from 1 region (ie USA) were “used up” but the analytics kept pushing the vid. I generally see the best RPM’s with 50-100M vids, above that RPM📉

@oskildtwt Definitely a good return given the time and cost to make the vid but you’re right. Once a vid reaches 100’s of M’s, YT needs to keep feeding it an audience and so you might start hitting worse geographies thus reducing RPM with a higher view count.
