Re: safety in the 2nd round — I understand the desire from some Eagles fans to want an answer for that position. I would have been surprised if the Eagles spent a 1st/2nd-round pick on a DB for the 4th time in 3 years. That would have meant 4 of their 6 picks during that period were in the secondary. I expected this draft to focus on OL/pass catcher/edge rusher early (and was pretty clear about that in my pre-draft coverage). So far, the Eagles drafted WR, TE, OT and traded 2 picks and paid $25M/year to an edge rusher.

An interesting note on #Vanderbilt's Eli Stowers: While officially he's a TE, several teams are evaluating him as a WR. At 6-foot-4, 239, his build can be compared to Mike Evans. Stowers, by the way, visits the #Broncos next week, and he's done #Rams, #Titans, and #Cowboys.

The Eagles are sending a 2026 third-round pick (No. 98 overall) and a 2027 4th-round pick for Greenard and a 2026 7th-round pick (No. 244).

Trade! #Eagles acquire Edge Jonathan Greenard from the Vikings in exchange for a third rounder this year (No. 98) and a third-round pick next year, NFL sources said. This has been in the works for weeks, but gets over the finish line during the draft.

No. 54 pick is in: #Eagles have selected Vanderbilt TE Eli Stowers, per sources.

The #Steelers traded up with the #Colts and Pittsburgh is taking Alabama WR Germie Bernard at No. 47. Bernard led Bama in receptions in back-to-back seasons and is a true do-it-all weapon, lining up wide, in the slot, at RB, and even Wildcat QB.
