I was proud to accept the President’s Partnership Award on behalf of @DukeEnergy from the Central Carolina Technical College at today’s Foundation Scholarship Luncheon. For decades, we have supported CCTC with grants for scholarships, programs, and faculty development.

Inspired this morning by the leadership stories shared by Army and Air Force veterans at this morning’s #SHE breakfast hosted by the @SumterSCChamber. #BossLady

Today is my lucky day because I get to share it with customers and their children at @LugoffElem for @DukeEnergy Science Night. Can’t wait to see the kids have fun with STEM activities provided by the @DukeEnergy Foundation.

Keeping #Sumter safe everyday through proactive community outreach and service is the theme of this morning’s State of Public Safety presented by the Sumter chamber.

Collaboration and cooperation are making a real difference in #Mayesville. I was honored to present a @DukeEnergy Foundation grant to the small, rural SC town to support their master planning process.

Had the opportunity to attend the #Sumter Region Env and Econ Summit hosted by @SC_EnvServices and Sen Zell this morning. A common theme of the conversation centered around responsible, sustainable growth while protecting our state’s natural resources.

Learned so much about leadership from other women today at the Kershaw Chamber’s Women’s Leadership Summit.

Ran into my friend and state representative Keishan Scott tonight at Florence County Legislative Action Day. He is a shining star and an impressive young man. I’m proud to know him.

Downtown #Bishopville is looking so good with the new lighting and with the storefronts filling up. I’m so happy to support the City with a @DukeEnergy Foundation grant for beautification to assist in its revitalization efforts.

Insightful Legislative breakfast this morning with the @SumterSCChamber and the #Sumter delegation. Top priorities included infrastructure, tax reform, juvenile crime, workforce development, and education.

The @DukeEnergy Foundation awarded $125K to 9 organizations that provide critical health and safety repairs on homes this week. Sumter United Ministries partners with our Weatherization program and I’m grateful they were chosen to receive $20,000 in funding for home repairs.

This #GivingTuesday wraps up the @DukeEnergy Foundation's monthlong campaign to fight food insecurities in our communities. I had the honor of presenting 5 grants to support the important work of food banks in Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee, Sumter and Williamsburg Counties.
