1. The judge can indeed impose the terrorist connection, whether it is so charged or not, per s.69 Sentencing Act 2020. 2. Crown Court sentences don't set precedents. This is trite - and as an MP, you really ought to know this. 3. The sentences are neither disproportionate, nor wrong. There was serious damage (£1.2m) to property, and a police officer's spine was fractured with a sledgehammer. What's "wrong" here is that MPs are outraged that people have been appropriately sentenced for such crimes that include GBH by fracturing a police officer's spine with a sledgehammer. We should not have MPs who think this way.

131 MPs have now signed my motion to stand up for trans people and stop the EHRC's Draft Code of Practice coming into force. For it to succeed, the motion needs to be debated and voted on, so I asked the government if it will allocate time. Unfortunately the Leader of the House did not make that commitment. We will continue to press for a debate and a vote. Please encourage your MP to sign EDM 240.

Important win for women and sex-based rights: Employment Tribunal just ruled in LS v NHS England: Allowing trans women (biological males) into female-only facilities = indirect sex discrimination + harassment against gender-critical women. No legal right under the Equality Act for 'trans' people to access opposite-sex spaces. Single-sex spaces are lawful and must be protected. This precedent has now been confirmed multiple times - time for every organisation (NHS, schools, prisons, sports) to update policies and stop the confusion. #SingleSexSpaces #Safeguarding
