Today, I spoke with our Olympic athletes who will represent Ukraine at the Summer Games in Paris this week. It is a significant achievement for Ukrainians that, amidst such a war and full-scale Russian terror, we have prepared and are participating in the Olympics. Our flag and anthem will be in France, standing alongside all nations that respect life and the principles of Olympism. I thank everyone who helps Ukraine preserve as much of normal life as possible, despite everything. I also thank those who defended the principles of Olympism from distortion and ensured the terrorist state's flags and participation were not allowed in the Olympics. Putin has turned Russian sports into a sport of killing people. The world will never tolerate this. Russia must be defeated in this war and its terror. Only then will life prevail.
