Will Removing The HST From All New Construction Homes In Ontario Kick Start The Residential Construction Industry: ABSOLUTELY NOT
Since politicians mainly know Sweet FA about the Industries for which they invent policies this should be expected
BTW every Tax Removed is GOOD

Hey @netflix the new video playback controls on the Apple TV app has taken away the ability to quickly rewind 10 secs using the remote. Pls don’t stoop down to Prime Video’s video playback experience, you’re better than that.
So these Studio Displays have A19 chips, RAM, Storage, camera, speakers, I/O — at this point aren’t they just iMacs that Apple chooses to sell as monitors? apple.news/AUT8JvfmaThOfZ…
@Tesla it’s been great to use Grok in the car — could we get a toggle that lets us swap right steering button behaviour such that a single press invokes Grok, and a press & hold launches voice commands.
@Tesla it’s sucks to have control center toggles go out of sync with the app toggle status every time after use.
You have to open the app to get them synced, which defeats the purpose of these toggles in the first place.
“Why should the $599-799 iPad Air come with a 60Hz display when the $649 10.5″ iPad Pro offered 120Hz nearly a decade ago?” — this is absolutely mind-blowing and probably the only reason why I’m holding off on buying to a new iPad today. apple.news/Ay7It9pA9Q8qSq…?
@Tesla Exciting! One more request for the backlog — multiple accounts support on Spotify. When I’m driving, my spouse should be able to switch to her Spotify account, so she can see her recommendations, playlists, etc.
@Tesla One more feedback @Tesla — the ability to switch Spotify profiles, so when my co-passenger wants to listen to their Daily Mixes, they can easily switch to their profile.
@elonmusk@Tesla Now that there is a @tesla Apple Watch app, maybe it could also be used to trigger haptic feedback when a turn is coming soon (similar to Apple Maps), so that you can navigate without voice prompts and be nudged without interrupting the music.
@Tesla trying my luck with feature suggestions for Model Y:
- Press & hold right scroll wheel for Siri/Google Assistant
- Push & hold left stalk to toggle headlights between off & auto (when waiting in car)
- Disable two steps in left stalk when turn signal Auto Cancel is on.
Giving Control Center a dedicated button in watchOS 10 seems a bit pointless — feels like it was done to give Smart Stack the prominent position that Control Center had before.
I doubt most users care about the ability to toggle WiFi, Airplane mode, DND, etc from any screen.
Every time I open a seemingly important envelope only to find promotional content, I can’t help but think of physical mail’s incredibly high open rate.
There needs to be a mandatory QR code by law that lets you unsubscribe you from a physical mailing list.
Voice Isolation is awesome for blocking background noise, but wouldn’t it be awesome if Apple Intelligence could analyze lip movements in video calls on-device & use that to filter out any voices that aren’t of the person(s) speaking.
Let’s call it…Voice Isolation Pro.
@Tesla wish there a mode where instead of spoken directions, all I hear is a subtle beep when a turn is coming up. This way I can listen to music without interruption and glance the screen to know where I need to go next.
@JohnPasalis What if you got the GST rebate only if you didn’t own any other property? Would that filter out investors while benefiting first time home buyers as well as people who are upsizing from say a condo to a townhome?
So if you ask me which plan is better - Carney’s or Poilievre’s - I lean toward Carney’s.
At least it prioritizes first-time buyers. It’s not perfect, and frankly, I’d rather see the GST exemption apply to the first $1M of any home purchase (not just homes under $1M) 11/
Should Canada Be Giving Investors a Tax Break to Buy Even More Homes?
Last week, Prime Minister Mark Carney proposed waiving the GST on new homes up to $1 million—but only for first-time buyers 🧵⤵️
@MarkJCarney What about folks who have bought preconstruction homes already? Will it apply to them when taking possession, assuming it comes into effect before?
