Ranking #3 in Google used to be a win. Now it can be a loss. AI Overviews, forums, PAA, and video cards are pushing organic results below the fold. So when you estimate SEO ROI, don’t just ask: Can I rank? Ask: How many clicks are left if I do? Traditional search is still the foundation. But search everywhere optimization is how you win now.

This is a flawed study. The site had full HTML content, just hidden by CSS - but still visible to screen readers and bots. AI doesn't care about CSS styles. It doesn't "render" content like a seach engine.

👀"I published a completely blank website. — white page, zero visible content. But seven layers of structured data underneath: JSON-LD, llms.txt, Ed25519-signed entity claims. Within 36 hours it became the no. 1 cited source in Perplexity. ChatGPT cited it independently - > No human ever saw content on that page."

GEOists are the scourge of the web.... We banned an account today for post GEO campaign fluff - the usual, GEO isn't SEO because EEAT, Schema, Clear Content Structure etc They appeal insisting they're a real company and not a marketing account. Their bio: We do reddit spam

some lesser known free tools of mine: seodataviz.com looks at related search terms and graphs them as N-Grams. also has some question search features - or lets you n-gram your own data. Serverheaders.com does a quick scrape of your site and returns all kinds of useful information. And then there's my free semantic SEO chrome plugin: serprecon.com/chrome

@lilyraynyc Here's the advice now being given in subs like r/SEOgrowth - overrun by GEO agency bots. They all look like "real" profiles - give somewhat contextual replies but with tell-tale LLM formatting: posting LLMs as different indexing/ranking models @louisfoweraker @PadraigOraghail

Fun fact: if someone tries to sell you something by saying “GEO/AEO is replacing SEO. Your website can rank #1 on Google but be invisible in ChatGPT” there’s a very high chance they are lying to you and scamming you.

Here's what I have learnt about keyword cannibalization (feedback appreciated) via @IdleMusings101 Cannibalization can also be described as duplicative data entry problems reddit.com/r/SEO/comments…
