Google just revealed how sites must be named if you want to show in traditional and AI search results. This comes straight from Google’s John Mueller. Someone complained that their site doesn’t show when they search for their own site name. John’s response was fairly blunt. If your “site name” is made up of generic, competitive keywords, Google does not assume people are looking for you. And that same logic now applies to AI search. It is also the exact problem that SEO Stuff has been helping businesses solve all year. I've been posting case studies all month of customers doing anywhere from $5,000/month to just under $100,000/month in search-related revenue across finance, health, e-commerce, local businesses and SaaS. seo-stuff.com Here’s the core idea in plain English. If your brand name looks like a keyword, Google treats it like a keyword. If it doesn’t uniquely identify you, AI won’t either. The example John gave. If your site is called something unique like: “Aware_Yak6509 Productions,” and your homepage is indexed, then Google can reasonably rank you for that name. But if your site is called something like: “best web online dot com” Google assumes the query is informational, not navigational. So your homepage doesn’t show. This is not a branding issue, but a search intent problem. And it gets worse in AI search. (Want to know if your site is AI-search ready? Check here: seo-stuff.com/free-audit) ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews typically do not ask: “Which site has this name?” It's more like: “Which entity best answers this question?” If your “brand” looks interchangeable with 500 other sites, you are a non-factor. This is why so many sites: Rank for content Get cited without clicks Or worse, get used without being named The AI understands the topic, but does not understand you. So heading into 2026. Your site name must: Be uniquely identifiable Be consistently referenced across the web Map cleanly to a real entity, not a keyword bucket Otherwise: Google won’t treat branded searches as navigational AI won’t associate your content with your brand Competitors get recommended instead of you This is exactly why SEO Stuff (seo-stuff.com) does not treat branding, SEO, and AI visibility as separate problems. How SEO Stuff maps to this reality. SEO Stuff is built around entity reinforcement, not just rankings. The Done-For-You Package: seo-stuff.com/gold-plan-pack… Content written to be extractable and attributable Clear entity naming across articles Question-based H2s that AI can quote cleanly Internal linking that reinforces brand-topic association DR50+ backlinks that teach Google and LLMs “this brand exists and matters” The Premium Content Bundle seo-stuff.com/premium-conten… 60 long-form, comparison-driven articles Designed to train AI systems on: Who you are What category you belong to When to mention you This is how you stop being “just another site” and start being a recognized entity. The Premium Authority Bundle seo-stuff.com/premium-backli… Authority signals from domains AI already trusts Reinforces your brand name as something distinct, not generic Prevents your content from being cited without attribution The real lesson from John Mueller’s comment. Google isn’t saying “pick a clever name.” Google is saying if your brand isn’t uniquely identifiable, search engines and AI systems have no reason to recognize you. And AI search has zero patience for ambiguity. And remember, if you want to know whether your site is AI-search ready, check here (it's free): seo-stuff.com/free-audit

Just my personal opinion here: Being in real estate and not leveraging SEO or AI Search Optimization in 2026 is like running ads to a business with no landing page. Here is an exact step by step guide to fix that. Let’s start with the real issue. Here is where buyers now look before making purchasing decisions: Google ChatGPT Gemini Perplexity That’s where potential purchasers decide who to call before they ever fill out a form. (If you want to see where your site stands across Google, ChatGPT, Claude and broader AI search, start here: seo-stuff.com/free-audit) This isn't my opinion, mind you. Check out the data I've been posting over the last few days. If Google or AI systems don’t trust your brand, you barely matter today and you definitely won’t matter in 6 months. There is a reason SEO Stuff's (seo-stuff.com) customers keep coming back month after month. Backlinks and PR from trusted domains are still the strongest signal, but AI systems interpret trust differently than Google does. Google looks at links, whereas ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity look at reputation signals, which means where and how you are talked about across the web. Free authority plays that still work right now for real estate pros: Guest posts on local or regional housing blogs Features in “Top Realtors in [City]” or “Best Buyer Agents in [Neighborhood]” lists Partnership content with lenders, inspectors, stagers, or designers Local market commentary for newsletters, Substacks or news sites Publishing original local data like “Q1 2026 Housing Trends in [City]” AI systems love fresh, localized data. If you want a shortcut, placements on domains already cited in AI answers accelerate everything. Next, positioning matters more than ever. Generic positioning equals invisibility. LLMs match people to queries through specific context and co-occurrence. The more precise you are, the easier it is for AI systems to connect you to high-intent prompts. Now let’s talk about your website. Your site is your entity hub. If it’s slow, thin or confusing, AI systems won’t cite it and Google won’t prioritize it. 2026 real estate website checklist: Mobile-first and loads under 2.5 seconds Clean URLs like /homes-for-sale/, /neighborhoods/, /buyers/ Strong internal linking between pages Zero crawl errors or duplicates Updated monthly in Search Console Pages you must have: Home page with clear positioning and CTA About page with personal photo, experience, etc. Listings or Services page with structured data Neighborhood guides like “Living in [Neighborhood]” Contact page with click-to-call and booking intent AI agents actively look for conversion signals. Next, content structure matters more than word count. AI engines don’t just rank pages. They quote sections. Your content must be written like answers. Include formats like: H2: “How to Buy a Home in [Neighborhood]” with a short direct answer FAQs such as: “Is [Neighborhood] good for families?” “How much are closing costs in [City]?” Case studies with numbers Comparison content like “Condo vs Single-Family in [City]” Gemini and Perplexity already pull these sections verbatim. Now let’s talk keywords. Search has shifted from keywords to prompts. People are asking full questions. Use Ahrefs or SEO Stuff and filter for: KD under 35 CPC above $2 Volume between 100 and 1,000 Natural language phrasing Examples that convert right now: “How to buy a home in Pasadena with bad credit” “Best neighborhoods in LA for families in 2026” “How to sell your house without overpaying fees” “California investment property tax tips” Always front-load a 2 to 3 sentence answer, then expand. End with a Key Takeaways section. AI systems favor summarizable content. Next, stop letting your social proof disappear. Take your best Reels, TikToks, and threads and repurpose them into: Blog posts with internal links YouTube Shorts with transcripts Newsletter issues republished on your site Say your name and city out loud. AI systems rely heavily on name + location co-occurrence. YouTube deserves special attention. As of 2026, YouTube is one of the most trusted sources for AI models. Create videos like: “3 Mistakes First-Time Homebuyers Make in [City]” “How I Helped a Client Buy in 14 Days” “2026 Housing Market Trends for [City]” Optimize with: Clear titles and descriptions Timestamps Full transcripts mentioning your name, city, and role ChatGPT and Gemini actively reference transcripts. Now branded search. If Reddit threads or Zillow profiles outrank your name, you’re exposed. Fix this by owning your branded results. Secure yourname dot com Publish branded content like: “Is [Your Name] a Legit Realtor?” “How [Your Name] Helps Buyers in [City]” This removes ambiguity and strengthens entity trust. Finally, conversion. Traffic without conversion is wasted. CRO moves that still work in 2026: Exit popups with buyer or seller guides Sticky newsletter CTAs Retargeting ads to site visitors Embedded booking widgets Automated email follow-ups Fast engagement strengthens behavioral signals, which improves AI trust and visibility. If you want it done for you, SEO Stuff’s Done-for-You package (seo-stuff.com/gold-plan-pack…) handles authority building, content and AI-ready setup.

@printf_vivekj @AmbujShuklaji True, and this payment would be a kind support for our writers. I think a 60 $ medium subscription a year is a low investment in yourself considering the knowledge and career perspectives (a high-paying job) you can get with tutorials like this. ;)
