@LabFairfax Exist… but I am saying I have two functional computers! We also keep a boot jumpdrive so we can reinstall windows as needed. Since the university software I use is cloud-based login (eg Adobe), I haven’t had any problems. Also looking to build our own in-house server.

@LabFairfax I’ve had this discussion many times and I’ve only been a faculty member for a year. They grudgingly made me an admin, but even though it looks like I have full access I don’t. I’m not saying I have taken to buying parts of computers and building my own so IT doesn’t know they 1/

I have used ImageJ (now Fiji) for well over a decade. IT is now blocking it from my lab computers. I just can't anymore.
