I tried to reconstruct the story of India's gifting of a baby elephant to Afghanistan in 1973 to tell a larger story about conflict, Kabul, and Indo-Afghan friendship. Huge thanks to the brilliant & thoughtful @haramitheatre, @supriyan, @vikramshah1991& @medhavenkat!

We have had an incredible journey of learning and growth at @techforwildlife, but today we are here to inform you that the time has come for us to wind down our operations.

conf2023.gdn.int/shashank-srini… Sharing a very well curated photo exhibit on the life and work of Shashank Srinivasan, a hugely energetic, informed and innovative conservation biologist, who I had the privilege of mentoring for a while. Shashank passed away suddenly in April this year, aged just 38. He was working on the cutting edge of using technology to aid in conservation.

This is actually the article that should be circulating on the topic - one based on research, providing its sources, not to mention published years earlier than the piece in @scroll_in, which should be retracted.
