@AnalogRules61 @SonofManwithus Last time I checked the little babies are not coming to God they are being carried by their parents and dressed in a gown.
English

Baptism came a long time BEFORE John the Baptist. Infant baptisms are DEFINITELY accepted by God.
"Let the little children [lit. BABIES] come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these," (Matthew 19:14, Mark 10:14, and Luke 18:16)

Do you believe baby baptisms are accepted by God?
They haven't sinned yet.
I ask because my understanding of baptism is it's a public declaration of following Christ. Acknowledging you need forgiveness of sins.
Some churches say you don't even need to get baptized but even Peter encouraged it.

@Jackson32988 @SonofManwithus I was confirmed yet here I am a born again believer.
English

@SonofManwithus It’s the forgiveness of orginal sin. Confirmation is confirming being a Catholic (but I think it happens way to early in teen years and should Happen as an adult )

@RyanWycuff @SonofManwithus Jesus was Baptized by John and God said this is my Son whom I am well pleased. Did you forget that.
English

@SonofManwithus baptism was actually an occult tradition. from mythraisim . which is actually where the catholic belief derive from. baptisim in general is part the spiritual relation god offers. its not needed to jump in water to be cleansed

@CrypticShardz @sola_chad What works did this paralytic do. In fact he was saved based on the faith of others not his own.

English

@hugdel @LeeFoo9 @sola_chad Ok but what does that mean? Drive by a homeless person without giving aid well there goes your salvation. You say works and I agree everyone should do these things. But how many, all the time, all the works, some of the works. Who determines that these works are enough?
English

I am very glad you ask this question, because Jesus gives us such a list. And he requires those good works to determine who is righteous (dikaios) in the final judgment.
Read Matthew 25:31-46
The Judgment
31 “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; 33 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38 And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39 When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’
41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; 42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; 43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ 44 Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not [e]take care of You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

@hugdel @LeeFoo9 @sola_chad What works did Jesus require after he healed someone and forgave them of their sins. Speaking of works… where exactly is the list of works required for Salvation in the Bible.
English

well, faith alone won't save you. James 2:24 expresses that very clearly but Paul himself does too.
"Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now SALVATION IS NEARER to us than when we first believed".
so, if we only need faith alone, why Paul only says that savalation is just nearer and not completed?
also, why is he affirming justification by works?
"for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified."
Rom 2:13
THE DOERS OF THE LAW!
