For many weeks we’ve heard speculation this was the case and it’s now confirmed by @iwight.
RACAG have been fighting for Ryde arena for over 4 years so this is very sad and disappointing news. The fight will continue it doesn’t stop here!

I, like many others will continue the fight to return skating to the Isle of Wight at this site or another.
If IW Distillery have brought our rink then I’d hope they would work with us at @racag17 to ensure it maintained as an Ice Rink. 3/3

I’ve spent many weeks trying to get to the bottom of this. I have heard from numerous sources that The IW Distillery have signed the lease to Ryde Arena.
This is extremely disappointing and potentially puts an end to the chances of returning skating 1/3

This is a great shame that the council has now ended the Legal Action.
We hope #AEWUK realise that they are now left with this property and will continue to cost them vast amounts to keep. 👏👏👏
