Just gonna say, this is $3b paid to scientists, engineers, metal workers, computer fabricators, grounds people, secretaries and military personnel and more. Every dollar spent on Space is a dollar paid on Earth.

@Tamarastampone Eh. It depends. Roller skates is pretty standard, but a lot of folks see me on them and yell, "cool roller blades." So I often use "quads" so folks clearly know I don't mean blading.

@Tamarastampone Quads have four wheels on each skate, two in front under the toes, two in back under the heel. Rollerblades have 3-4 wheels in a single line under the foot like an ice skate.

Nowadays, we rely on actor performance, spectacle, and editing. Not saying it's bad. Just different. There's definitely tech advances that have given modern filmmakers more creative tools. Those open up more choices. But I love seeing different ways of building tension.

I just finished Airport (1970) after watching Starflight One (1983). It never ceases to amaze me the very different techniques used by filmmakers to create tension then, vs now. Then they relied on actor performance, silence and editing.

@Tamarastampone Meditation is a great practice..I've been trying to develop a daily practice. Not there yet. But I find it helpful. Headspace is a great app to start with. Now I use Calm because I get it through my healthcare.

@ronsussman @tvaziri @GOP As someone who has mental health challenges (depression and bipolar) statements like these are a slap in the face. There's more at play than just mentally unhealthy people. If there wasn't, every one of us with mental issues would tote guns. I don't dare.
