Protest - but do it loudly, do it peacefully. If the police are being aggressive, record it. Film it. Do not react. Because you will not be shown the same leniency as the officers. The horrific attack in Belfast last night is sickening. I have absolutely no tolerance for abhorrent scenes of violence like this on our streets. My thoughts are first and foremost with the victim, and I thank the first responders, including members of the public who intervened.

Shockingly we were back in the chamber tonight, not debating something urgent for the people of Belfast, but demanding that the UK Government capitulate to the demands of those on remand for serious criminal offences. The proposers demanded an urgent meeting, then complained it was called too quickly. That tells you everything. This was never an emergency. Just political theatre.

The ban on puberty blockers is devastating for many young trans people. Currently the only way to access them is through a government trial - I am asking govt to ensure that the trial can be accessed by as many young people as need it.
