Psyched to share something @stripe, @ScaleMicrogrids, and @paces_ai have been cooking for the past few months. A massive wave of new energy demand has been unleashed by AI. How will we power it? We think gigantic off-grid solar microgrids offer a very compelling solution.

Off-grid solar microgrids have been conspicuously absent from most hyperscalers’ plans, which is surprising given their ability to achieve enormous scale very fast. We wrote a piece on how off-grid solar can power the AI race:

went to a show the other day and the sax got a solo... the flute got a solo... the trombone got a solo... the pianist got a solo... the drummer got a solo... the flutist and sax got second solos... the bass player did not get a solo

playing bass is so sad. one of the coolest sounding instruments but in any collaborative context you're confined to just playing boring root quarter notes no room to go full chainsaw man intro on the crowd
