@fgaurav3 @fireshoes Can confirm this deck slaps! Went from Plat 4 to Mythic numbers in 2 days, well over 75% win rate. Can kill quick and can grind. Loving Timeless for the moment.

Smooth run into mythic with the zoo. The deck is SO fun to play and Flames just punishes all these fetchland decks so well! @fireshoes #MTGArena

@FBanksBooks You are welcome! You can if you'd like. RadioactiveCrow is the name I use everywhere in the IF world.

@radioactivecrow Thank you SO MUCH for this, and for the even longer and lovelier review on IFDB. May I credit you as a reviewer in the game? And what name shall I use?

As I continue playing through #IFComp 2023 I've found that @FBanksBooks has done it again, she has taken a setting that didn't seem interesting to me and created such a joyful and heartwarming narrative out of it that I find I can't stop smiling. Go play "Bali B&B" today!

@DFWscanner Just heard multiple fire trucks head to the north end of Valley Ranch in Irving, some coming from far away. Do you know what's going on?

Just played "Xanthippe's Last Night with Socrates" by @GijsbersVictor for #IFComp 2023. Victor is a fabulous writer with a knack for including humor in his games. If he ever wrote a novel I'd be here for it! #interactivefiction

@FBanksBooks My sportiness has also fallen off since I had kids. But we have a semi-pro AFL league here in the US and Texas has a couple good teams that are free to go watch play. Always have to ask the question whenever I met an Aussie. Used to be big into soccer, but that's fallen off too.

@radioactivecrow Are, sadly I cannot answer your question as I am not into footy at all. Can I say I'm a fan of the Matildas soccer team though? They're incredible. I am... somewhat lacking in any kind of sportiness.

@FBanksBooks I'm in the middle of playing your game for IFComp, but I have to know right now if you have a favorite footy team? Swans? Giants? Someone else? I just watched the AFL Grand Final (became a Texas-based Aussie-rules fan randomly years ago and keep up with it somewhat).

Overwhelmed by the sheer number of games on display? It's okay, we are too, but luckily help is at hand. As a judge, you only need to play (and rate) 5 games (although we're not going to stop you if you're a completionist, haha)

I also really liked that the game's website included feelies and that the walkthrough document was well thought-out and well designed. Hoping to see more from this author in the future. #InteractiveFiction

My first #IFComp 2023 game was just something that struck my fancy as I was scrolling through the list of games: "All Hands Abandon Ship" by David Lee. A simple parser-based puzzler that is chock full of humor, pop culture references, and easter eggs.

You don't need a magic potion to be a judge in this year's IFComp! Just create a free account and vote to your heart's content. You have until November 15th to play and rate at least five games. (You can still play the games afterwards btw ^^)

We are mere days away from #IFComp 2023 and I can't wait. Sometimes my life and IFComp don't line up very well and I only review and handful of games (2022), and sometimes I get in dozens (2020). I feel like this year is going to be a good one. Who is still on Twitter is excited?

@verityvirtue @MathBrush But in 2022, even though I didn't play that many, I did play the winner and it was impressive. Between that and the latest IF Top 50 vote (among other things) my enthusiasm has returned. Looking forward to a great comp and great discussion.

@verityvirtue @MathBrush Yeah, I'm still haunting Twitter. It still has a few virtues for me (yourself included!). I think my 2022 enthusiasm was tampered somewhat by the 2021 comp where I didn't play any games that really impressed me, including not playing the winner...

Ah! I forgot to include The Impossible Bottle as a new game that made the list. It was so high up I missed it! It is in 5th place outright!

Authors with the most games in the Top 50: Emily Short (4), Ryan Veeder (3), and Andrew Plotkin (3). Though if you lumped all the Infocom authors together they would have a bunch too!
