Hey @AnthropicAI, many volunteers are using Claude to build applications that help venezuelans during this trying time after the earthquake. Would you be willing to give out some credits or free usage to the team?

@Gametime @clawdrien I wouldn’t trust @Gametime policy that much. I’ve been trying to get a resolution on World Cup tickets that I bought through their platform. I’ve spent multiple hours on the phone and no refund or replacement. I still don’t have my tickets :/

@ScottFriedman3 @FIFAWorldCup For Brazil tomorrow I received an email that tickets were transferred this morning but I have nothing showing in FIFA site to accept. Stubhub claims they have a case manager working on my behalf but no update since 7am. Refund won’t help when I paid 1/2 current market price.

Yesterday we had an outage affecting all services in the us-east-2 (Ohio) region We have published the post-mortem: supabase.com/blog/supabase-… This post is an account of what happened, how it happened, and the concrete steps we are taking to make sure it does not happen again. We know you depend on Supabase to be reliable. We let you down in both reliability and communications. I am grateful to every customer who reported issues, waited patiently, and provided feedback on how we can improve. We will make major structural changes to earn back your trust.
Paul Copplestone - e/postgres@kiwicopple

Today we had an outage that ran for 3h42m, affecting 4.92% of our customers. All systems in us-east-2 were affected. I'm sorry to everyone affected. There is no good excuse - you trust us with your infra and we need to do better. We already have mitigations in place and we're working on a post-mortem. We will post it in the next 12 hours.

today we are launching iceberg-js - a typescript library for @ApacheIceberg Iceberg is an open table format for data warehouses. given the industry adoption, i was a surprised at the lack of developer tooling. supabase will fix this

One thing that we don’t shout about much at @supabase, but I’m particularly proud of: we have engineered the entire company to be as open source as possible: 1/ we prioritise supporting existing open source projects over building from scratch 2/ we upstream everything we can 3/ we donate to frameworks and projects, and acquire them if they can’t find stability 4/ we prioritise community contributors over building ourselves (and sponsor them for their work) 5/ our code is 100% free and open source (and to back this up: used by behemoths like Alicloud who don’t pay us anything). Essentially every engineer we employ is working on open source products it has been incredibly difficult to pull this off, striking the balance between commercialization and giving away as much as possible. As we grow bigger I only hope to support more open source communities

Today we are making the @orioledb Patent freely available to the Postgres community Oriole is a storage extension for Postgres which uses Postgres' pluggable storage system. It's a drop-in replacement for Postgres' existing storage engine (Heap). Our north star is to upstream Oriole to be part of the Postgres source tree, developed and maintained in the open alongside the rest of Postgres (if the community want it!) We announced the acquisition of Oriole over a year ago. Since then, we have been working on cleaning up the legal structure and finalizing the asset transfers. We have wrapped up all legal activities, and we fully own US Patent 10,325,030 (“Durable multiversion B+-tree”). @supabase is making this Patent explicitly available to all Oriole users (including proprietary forks) in accordance with the open source license. Oriole benchmarks show that it is around 5.5x faster than the default storage engine (Heap):

@RobertJBye @figma Having only projects to group work is limiting for teams working at agencies where we have a ‘project’ per client but that just has to house all of the work you do with a file per actual project. So big accounts get messy.

We're working on improving the file system in @figma, and I would love to know how you use projects/folders to organise files? Do you use them to: Group project files? To separate eng/design/pm files? By stage of work wip/in build/shipped? Or something else?
