The reference to accounts of a historical custodian highlighted in great detail the strength of infusing indigenous knowledge into socio-legal analysis.
Additionally, the piece provides a very pointed analysis of the 'gendered' nature of the forex market in Benin City, Nigeria. What I find most fascinating is the paradox of this market. Though it is chiefly a product of the labour migratory efforts of Nigerian women to Italy and other European countries, even in its current transformation, this ‘niche’ sector is predominantly occupied by men.
