I want to set the record straight on the theory that Trump is the Antichrist, a view I’ve promoted since 2021, back when it wasn’t even clear if he would run again. I’ve noticed that many people are now jumping on this idea now that it feels more overt. Many are doing so from the assumption that the Antichrist will be a lifelong cheerleader for the Jews and Zionism. That’s partially true, but only temporarily, and it’s very important not to gloss over this. The core role of the Antichrist is to serve as God’s vessel of wrath against apostate Jerusalem, just like the other Antichrist types and shadows throughout the Bible. Even Nero Caesar, often cited as an Antichrist figure (especially in partial preterism), is portrayed as the beast used by God to judge the harlot. That’s exactly what Revelation 17:16-17 describes: the beast and his kings, who once allied with the harlot, end up hating her. They devour her, burn her with fire, and eat her flesh. The point is that their unholy alliance grants them temporary strength and human power over their enemies. This is a repeated biblical theme: God hates when Israel forms unholy alliances and relies on military power or foreign pacts instead of trusting in Him. Verse 17 makes it clear that God Himself puts it into the hearts of the beast and his kings to fulfill His will by destroying the harlot. Once again, we see God’s sovereignty over human history, nothing is incidental; everything has its purpose and timing. It is through the wrath of the beast upon the harlot (apostate Jerusalem) that we see the fulfillment of Zechariah 12–14. Through this judgment and trial during the Tribulation, a remnant will cry out to the Lord, recognize Him, and mourn for the One they pierced, Jesus Christ, the true Messiah of Israel. This is the climax of the biblical narrative: the prodigal son returning to the Father. It is this remnant that will welcome the Messiah, Jesus Christ, who will then wage war against Israel’s enemies, the beast, his kings, and the Gentile nations. Zechariah 14 describes how the whole world will gather against Jerusalem to seize the city right before the Lord returns to make war with them and destroy them. That’s when we see Jesus dashing the kingdoms of the earth with the breath of His mouth and establishing His Millennial Kingdom in Jerusalem for 1,000 years, before the eternal state and the new earth. The world will gather against Jerusalem, thinking they are defeating the New World Order agenda. But when Christ comes, they will see Him as the “final boss.” The Tribulation period, or the 42 months the beast reigns, specifically refers to the time when the beast seizes control over the holy city. As Revelation 11:2 states, the Gentiles will trample the holy city for 42 months, which aligns with the 3½ years of Tribulation before the Messiah returns. To bring it all back: If Trump is the Antichrist (which has always been the strongest possibility in my mind), his alliance with Israel is exactly what Revelation describes when the harlot rides the beast. But again, that alliance is only temporary. So if Trump truly is the Antichrist, everything we’re witnessing now is merely the lead-up to these events. Be very careful of those who are just now jumping on the “Trump as Antichrist” train with the implication that the Antichrist will be the leader of the New World Order, the very thing the New Age “truther” movement has fought against for decades. Rather, he will be seen as the one destroying that order. The real New World Order that is coming is the one Christ Himself will establish when He comes to reign on earth. As Scripture ties the Messiah’s reign to Zion: “Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains… For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations…” (Isaiah 2:2-4)
