Jesus Christ is the word of God, whether its written (scripture), verbal (spoken), or incarnated (human). The word of God eternally exists in the person of Jesus Christ. You believe in Jesus (the word of God) for salvation.

Despite what OrthoBros on Twitter may teach, Orthodoxy doesn’t teach that works give us salvation. Orthodoxy teaches that salvation is purely 100% grace through faith but that works (bearing actual fruit) must be the natural end result of that grace. Real faith and grace are living and cannot help but bear good fruit.
