AI agents are no longer just tools. How? They’re starting to act, transact, and coordinate across systems; paying for services, executing workflows, and interacting with other agents in real time. That introduces a new problem most systems aren’t built to handle: 🧵👉 trust between autonomous actors

That creates a new pattern: - Thousands of small transactions - Constant execution - Machine-driven interaction Services are already shifting to pay-per-request models. See more info here: crypto.news/stripe-taps-ba…

Human systems were built around: - Occasional transactions - User-triggered actions - Predictable usage Agent-driven systems don’t behave like that. They operate continuously.

AI agents are already making payments, calling APIs, and executing workflows on their own. This isn’t a future scenario: it’s already happening. The important part isn’t what they’re doing. It’s how often they’re doing it. Let’s break down what that changes ↓

At scale, agent-driven systems separate into layers: • Execution runs continuously. • Settlement occurs when needed. • Coordination happens across systems. The requirement is supporting real-time execution at machine speed, where agents can operate without friction.

I’ve been showing everyone how seamless and quick payments can be with @WalletConnect Pay using our latest SDK It just works… Scan -> Approve -> Done! My favorite Wallet to demo has been @moneda_com who did a great job with their iOS release supporting it natively 👌

“Companies that are not set up to quickly adopt AI workers will be at a huge disadvantage.” - Sam Altman + @techradar AI agents entering workflows changes the execution model entirely. Work doesn’t happen in steps anymore but runs continuously across systems. That introduces sustained, high-frequency interaction at machine speed. Infrastructure has to support that by default.

AI agents are beginning to transact autonomously: paying for APIs, services, and data as part of continuous workflows. This introduces a different demand profile: Thousands of actions, micropayments, and state changes per agent, running continuously. Infrastructure must support high-frequency, low-cost, real-time execution by default.

This is the signal: builders are flocking to where verifiable intelligence and data ownership are possible. The future is being built, not speculated. This is what happens when you build infrastructure for real innovation, not just hype cycles.

Originally we had 50 people cap for the Toronto Hackathon building OpenClaw agents on @GOATNetwork and @MetisL2, but we ended up getting a larger venue because we were oversubscribed and overwhelmed with the number of registrations! So, it is going to be awesome! See you Saturday!
