The strongest people clap for others while silently fighting their own battles. God rewards that level of humility.

Corporate ladies. When you are going to get rid of your old work wardrobe pieces, go find a lower level employee with potential, who is roughly your same size and ask her if she’d like to go through them. I had an SVP do this for me and it was the most incredible gift I could have received.

DO NOT START BANTER WITH YOUR OFFICE PEONS. Those MFs are a different breed 😭😭 A friend visiting my office today jokingly remarked that the reason he is unmarried is because "mujhe koi intelligent si larki chahie" and this mf goes "kyun bhai aap ne tuition leni hai? 😭😭😭

If you love someone remove them from the pedestal which imprisons them and denies the fullness of their humanity. Allow them to be imperfect and assure them that their so called imperfection is also a reflection of the divine.

There’s a mom I used to see at school drop-off all the time. Messy bun, always a few minutes late, her kids usually munching dry cereal out of a Ziploc. The kind of mom people whisper about. The “Pinterest moms” definitely had their opinions. I’ll admit, I used to feel a little bad for her. Like she was always just barely holding things together. Then one day at the playground, everything flipped. My son, who’s neurodivergent, had a full sensory meltdown. Not the quiet kind. It was loud, overwhelming, and honestly a little scary. I ended up sitting in the dirt with him, completely frozen, trying not to cry but failing. The other moms noticed. They looked, then slowly started pulling their kids away. No one said anything, but the distance said enough. And then she showed up. Messy bun, big bag, slightly out of breath. She didn’t hesitate. Just dropped her stuff and sat right there in the dirt next to us. No questions, no judgment. She pulled out a heavy…

I don’t want anyone around me who decides who you are in a neat, one dimensional way. You’ll begin to resent me once I disrupt that illusion with depth/contradictions, growth, and complexity.

The fool wants every move to feel good, but the wise accepts boredom, delay, secrecy, repetition, and temporary misunderstanding, because he is not trying to win the mood of the day; he is trying to win the position that makes future moves easier.
