Days after Central Secretariat Service official (CSS) attempted suicide alleging workplace harassment at Social Justice Ministry, CSS officials took out a protest march at Shastri Bhavan demanding action and FIR against the officials involved.

10 Yrs. of Dedication, 10 Yrs. of Delay: 2014 CSS Batch ASOs Plead for Justice • For nearly 300 Assistant Section Officers (ASOs) of the 2014 batch of Central Secretariat Service (CSS), another year has slipped by without the rightful promotion to Section Officer (SO), despite our eligibility since July 2023. • On 18.06.2025, Hon’ble MoS @DrJitendraSingh announced that our promotions were approved, yet the file remains stalled in the corridors of @DoPTGoI and @FinMinIndia, leaving us in a state of prolonged uncertainty. • On 07.07.2025, we met Hon’ble Law Minister @arjunrammeghwal, who graciously lent his support, urging the concerned authorities to expedite our case and end these unnecessary delays. • On 16.07.2025, a delegation of 2014 Batch ASOs and Members of @CSSforum_ again met Hon'ble MoS @DrJitendraSingh to express gratitude for his steadfast commitment to resolving our issues. He listened with patience and issued CLEAR DIRECTIONS to @DoPTGoI to address our promotion delay. Smt. Geeta Shakya, MP ( @GeetaShakyaUP ). ii. Shri Utkarsh Verma Madhur, MP ( @Utkarsh4LMP ). iii. Dr. S. P. Singh Patel, MP. iv. Shri Vinod Shankar Awasthi, MLA. v. 1st July 2025 has come and gone. For nearly 300 ASOs of the 2014 CSS batch, it marks yet another year without the rightful SO promotion. We’ve been eligible since July 2023. On 18.06.2025, Hon’ble MoS @DrJitendraSingh publicly confirmed the proposal had been approved. But since then, nothing has happened. The file now drags through the corridors of @DoPTGoI and @FinMinIndia. With great humility, we ask how much longer the wait will be for what has already been approved? We’re nearly 300 ASOs from the 2014 CSS batch—eligible for SO promotion since July 2023. It’s mid-2025 now, and @DoPTGoI hasn’t issued a single promotion order. Instead, they’re quietly processing MACP, as if stagnation is something we asked for. Hon'ble MoS @DrJitendraSingh Ji had earlier assured the CSS Forum that 310 Assistant Section Officers (ASOs) of the 2014 batch would be promoted soon. However, senior officials within the #DoPT have reportedly denied receiving any such instructions from the Hon'ble Minister, repeatedly citing the unavailability of vacancies as the reason for the continued delay in promotions. In a recent press conference held today, the Hon'ble MoS(PP) has now clarified that the file related to the promotion of ASOs has already been processed. This statement brings a ray of hope to hundreds of officers who have been waiting for their rightful promotion despite completing over a decade of service.
