Americans haven’t forgotten how, even as hundreds of U.S. soldiers were dying in Vietnam, and the outcome was already clear, General William Westmoreland was flown home to reassure everyone that the war was going well — that the U.S. was “winning.”

Former hobbits. If you have ever considered returning to Palantir, this is the week to do it. The world is demanding every last unit of creative energy we can muster. If you return, you will be on a plane day one and committing code that matters within hours of getting your laptop. From the foxhole to the factory floor the surface area to support something incredibly meaningful, immediately, is immense. I promise you nothing other than the sense of satisfaction that comes from the purpose and intensity of the most intense deployments you ever worked on. If you have been chasing that spark, come find it again. The shire is calling.

996 is very cringe. at m1, everyone in leadership works 7 days a week around 12-15 hours a day. we aim to inspire others on the team to do similar, through an incentive structure that makes it rewarding, not mandatory. forcing people to work nights and weekends in office may work in the short term, but breaks badly in the long term. if you like hardcore hours but flexible, mainly remote, and async, join us. here’s a quote from one of our team members: “I’d rather work 15 hours a day, 7 days a week, from my couch not because I have to, but because I want to.”
