Inside Jail, everyday a UnderTrial who has committed an offence under several circumstances bursts out crying in the urge to step out. The only thing for him to see is a Wall Clock & the time moves slow. He eagerly waits every morning around 7am or 6pm is to hear his name in the BAIL call.. Their worst Fear i have noticed in 2024 May and 2026 May are the "COURT HOLIDAYS". Because they fear that 99% of their matters wont be heard and their stay in the Jail will prolong... But POCSO Accused Bandi Bhageerath is a Lucky man. With the support of Chief Minister Revanth,his Arrest is pending to the 9th Day, With a powerful father & Counsel his Anticipatory Bail matter is heard in back to back days till late night ...

Bandi Bageerath POCSO Case When #MeToo movement started, women shared abuse and harrassment that they faced in their course of lives. About 80 women in October 2017, spoke about sexual abuse of Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. Some of these went back to late 1970s. Harvey Weinstein lost his job, his social status, his marriage basing on these complaints. No one asked, “Why are you reporting now??”!!! The world understood what courage it takes to speak up about sexual harassment, abuse, & rape - one of the most traumatic experiences any woman or man can face. Especially when facing powerful men with all resources and social status to destroy the victim completely. Today! In Bandi Bageerath POCSO case his counsel questions the delay in filing of the case against a powerful Union Minister’s son who is 25 years of age and victim around 16/17 years at the time of offence. His counsel also speaks harshly about the minor victim. He directly insinuates that the victim tried to take a monetary settlement…!!! Her life is getting torn apart. Of course all these videos were already circulated across social media already. Victim’s mother already mentioned in the press release today how she even had a tough time getting an FIR registered and how the police behaved. I totally understand the counsel trying to save his client but watching this as a woman, makes me shudder. And we wonder why women don’t come forward to report. This is what they will have to face. May be the world needs another round of #MeToo to remind what a sexual assault does to the victims.

If a Trial Court Judge makes crass generalist remarks against Citizens calling Activists Parasites & Cockroaches, High Court will pull them up demanding Explanation & directing them to apologise. If a HC Judge does it, SC will pull them up But if CJI does it, who pulls them up?

Telangana Police: “We can’t find Bandi Bhageerath.” Meanwhile, in court, his lawyer Niranjan Reddy says: Give us interim protection from arrest, then he will attend the investigation. So he is “untraceable” for police, but available for anticipatory bail arguments through lawyers? For 6 days, Bandi Bhageerath has been absconding. Yet instead of securing his presence, arguments are being made that he will cooperate only if guaranteed he won’t be arrested. Would an ordinary citizen in this country get such treatment? Have we ever seen police fail to trace someone who is openly negotiating conditions through court? Why is there no urgency from Telangana Police to finding Bandi Bhageerath?

GASLIGHTING THE VICTIM, YET AGAIN “Tomorrow If Bandi Sanjay ji’s son is proved guilty or not guilty, he will walk away from all this fine. The girl will have to face the society. She will have to face the shame of being in this case. Because BRS is running a social media campaign against his son, Bandi Sanjay ji’s team is putting out the girl’s photos, videos and all details in public space. BRS is ruining the girl’s life”, this is from former MP, former MLC and estranged daughter of KCR, Kavitha Kalvakuntla. She recently launched her own party Telangana Rakshana Samithi and has been attacking her father KCR & brother KTR, cousin Harish Rao and others since. Her political ambitions aside, her whole narrative that the victim will have to face problems because of deciding to stand-up against her perpetrator is absolutely problematic. I thought Kavitha will be one of those leaders who will stand by the victim. Unfortunately, she is also following the same pattern of victim shaming. Sadly, Kavitha went on to add - “I don’t think the girl is a minor”. Later when media again asked her about the incident, Kavitha said, “a little boy who is not in politics is being personally attacked and dragged into politics. I don’t like it”. Firstly, Bandi Bageerath is 25 year old who groomed and allegedly raped, sexually assaulted a MINOR girl and blackmailed her by sharing her photos and videos and slut shamed her in their friend’s group. Secondly, if he is innocent he would have come to the police long back, he skipped coming before the police today too. He is absconding. To support someone like him it’s disgusting. And it is unbelievable Kavitha chose to walk this path. When Kavitha was arrested in the Delhi Liquor Scam, Bandi Sanjay ran fervent campaign against her. He abused her the most. He gave her the moniker - “Liquor Queen”. Today Kavitha decided to stand by this man and his horrible son just to spite her father. How very unfortunate. She could have said one word of empathy, one word of support to the victim. Some lines should not be crossed. It will be a long bottomless dark pit once you choose to throw yourself into it. Calling a POCSO case a personal attack is that bottomless pit.

I still wonder… For posting a video, I was brought from Bangalore to Hyderabad overnight and produced before magistrate at 3:00 AM without even a transit order. At the airport, 9 CISF personnel surrounded me as if I was a dangerous criminal. But in a POCSO case, even after 6 days of an FIR, the accused is still not arrested.
