This is why Hospital Billing Framework introduced by @IndianStandards to be made mandatory , to start with, for all hospitals. All payers like Govts, Insurers, TPAs and finally public must ask for billing in the same format. This is a must to stop billing innovations . Public don't demand because thye dont know about the line items Insurers, TPAs are happy rejecting claims but they are also not addressing the billing format to be used by all hospitals There has to be a beginning somewhere , to bring standardisation and this is what BIS has attempted . Why not rolling out the same ?

The future of health is not AI - it is empty bank balances. A private corporate hospital in Delhi charged Rs. 797 just to upload an MRI CD on the system for doctor to see 🤐 Name? Whats the point? All are same No regulation No public demand for a stronger public health system

This is why FSSAI should move Nutraceuticals to Pharma Regulator . Pharma Regulator may bring a better control . Nutraceuticals under Food may not be working effectively as FSSAI itself lost its credibility, ground

@NIKHILLJHA @RemaNagarajan Diagnostics Investigations are always u by X times in hospital settings. Hospitals clock good chunk of revenue from diagnostics . Cost of test in a std alone lab and the same in a hospital set up is never the same. So pricing dramas .

Just checking the hospital bill for a patient admitted for chest infection at a top hospital,(not naming anyone) Cost of diagnostic tests 1. Complete blood count(CBC) -Rs 1000 2.Hba1c test-Rs 2000 3.Liver Function Test(LFT)-Rs 4600 These tests cost a fraction of this amount at any lab, So overcharging by hospitals and corporate greed is a real thing, Exploiting ill patients by profit minded hospital is a real thing, Regulator and the Government should create guidelines for the costs of basic diagnostic tests! Hospital bills are really terrifying,

Five step hotel pre-shower routine for those who wear glasses: 1. Step into the shower, squint to read labels - unsuccessfully. 2. Step out, wear glasses, step back in. 3. Memorise the sequence: left-shampoo, middle-conditioner, right-shower gel. 4. Step out to keep the glasses safely back. 5. Return… now to figure out how the shower knob works.

Genuine cases are not even 5%, its usually much lesser . Societies empathise often in such cases Those who manage the affairs know the real pains Attitude of all residents is not the same often. There are society bylaws which clearly define basics that all residents have to follow Many derailed practices are getting into name, shame systems slowly May be they would have issues many notices, warnings etc prior to resorting to this .

IMO unpaid dues are a civil matter, not a reason for social humiliation. Restricting essential services like domestic help punishes families (especially working parents) disproportionately. If someone genuinely can't pay, this makes their situation worse, not better. Societies have legal remedies like late fees, interest, even court action.

Be careful if you also buy pickles from the market. Police in Kulsumpura raided a pickle-making unit where spoiled vegetables and low-quality ingredients were being used. They seized 72 drums of different pickles, along with 6 drums of tomato and tamarind paste and a weighing machine. Two people, N. Narasimha and N. Naresh, were taken into custody. According to police, the unit was operating in highly unhygienic conditions and supplying these products in the market, posing a risk to public health. A case has been registered against them.
