You Sir served the Indian Army, as an officer over Sikh troops. Did you feel threatened or marginalized? Punjab is not about relegion or castes, it's about the sentiment of Punjabiyat.
कर्नल Danvir Singh, Sena Medal Gallantry@danvir_chauhan

No brother that’s wrong…. Punjab with Sikh majority is not secular as far as Hindus are concerned. They feel marginalised and threatened.

We bid farewell to my Naniji today. A frail old lady now, in her nineties, who lived a full life and got lot of love from her many grand and great grand children. May her soul rest in peace, Om Shanti 🙏 But why I write this as her obituary today is to tell how a barely educated woman, just by her sheer will and hard work, kept a family together, and ensured they prosper. Her childhood tales were of her horse riding and working at home with her mom in Punjab. And then she always used to tell the horrors of partition, when her family lost everything. Married to tall handsome fauji ( my nanaji ), she had four kids. But was a young widow due to an injury my Nanaji suffered in 1971 war. And that’s the phase which I will always admire her for. She took charge, walked around 20 km every day from her home to a distant hospital to work as a nurse in a small Punjab village. She held the family together. Made sure eveyone studied and was married. Never gave up, even for a single moment. I was born in her house, shortly after my Nanaji passed away. And she and my mother always motivated me to join the army. When I went to NDA, got commissioned, and was awarded Sena Medal, she distributed sweets everytime to the entire village. She never attended any feminist rallies. Nor she ever spoke about women power and discussed theories. But she was a living embodiment of it all. She was the iron fist when it came to making decisions. Even when she had just a handful, she ensured eveyone got good food and gifts when we visited her on summer vacations. She would sit us all down in evening and tell us stories of Mahabharat and Ramayan and sing bhajans with her. Her house was next to a Gurudwara, where she would send us every morning. She taught values, and patience and respect for everyone. Even as tiny children, she used to send us to the village rap with buckets to get our own water for bathing etc, twice a day. No pampering, tough love ! When we grew up, at night she would sit down with the younger generation and laugh and party. Times changed and from a small house she had moved to a big flat with my Mamaji. But her values never changed. She still scolded and loved on same reasons. From one of my first salaries, I bought her gold ring. She wore it till her last day, inspite of having so many other rings, because she used to say - this is from my fauji son. The most honest and hard working money. She had a habit of always giving me some money whenever she met me, from her tiny handkerchief, in which kept her money tied. I’ll never forget how she got down from her Pajero at a five star in Chandigarh, and took out five Rs from her handkerchief and gave it to the valet just couple of years back. We said five Rs don’t matter, atleast give fifty. . She replied - I will only give what I can afford on my own. We had no answer ! She loved everyone and kept giving gifts to who so ever she could, and stuff eveyone with her food. She cooked till her mid eighties. As she left the house today, for one last time, followed by hundreds of people and cars, the entire village, she will be looking down with a smile on her face. She is the mother and grandmother every family deserves. She was the rock, a gentle loving breeze and helping hand to all. May Prabhu Raam grant her peace, and may she continue blessing us all. Smt Kanta Devi Talwar, my Nani, a formidable woman, a mother par excellence, the most nurturing grandma, and friend and well wisher to all. Take care 🙏🫡

Hey @reliancejio your Internet services suck!! Worst is when one complains your people don’t raise tickets until one fights. Then they give you a timing and automatically reschedule without the customers approval. Now it’s three days no connection. Btw this happens once a month. What kind of nonsensical service is this. Excuses given are jammers in Jails and all sorts of rubbish. I don’t live close to any secure facility. Fix it or remove it.

Simranjeet Singh @SimranjitSADA advocates Nobel Peace Prize for Failed Marshal Munnir at Amritsar. Remember Munir's Army fired missiles at Darbar Sahib (Golden temple) during OP Sindoor. No wonder his grandfather Arur Singh honored General Reginald Dyer with a siropa (robe of honor) at the Akal Takht shortly after the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
