Without indulging in politics, can anyone realistically identify a short list of candidates to replace the CT-114 Tutor? There's more than enough blame to go 'round among successive PC, Liberal and CPC governments and I frankly don't care about the causes. How about solutions?

At this point we must consider a long term replacement/main fighter for the RCAF beyond the F35. Probably GCAP or whatever replaces Gripen, for service in the 2040s.

Looking at @MitchLBrown tracking data for the NCAA and thinking that Gavin McKenna is a can't miss prospect. On almost all the underlying tracking metrics for offense he is not just first, but first by a margin. Here's one showing his in-zone vs rush offense relative to the NCAA

The value is all over the place right now due to contracts and down years, but I cant help but think Dallas is a great trade partner for Toronto. One of the few teams with something id actually trade Knies for.

Knies spiralled in the second half as the wheels fell off for the Leafs, but I thought he showed some really good strides as a passer. Hopefully McKenna can help unlock that shooting again and level him up.

The "return" was good. We got something for nothing. Marner left in free agency. Vegas would have lost a 1st or more if they hadnt made that deal
