It's been a year

Sadly @randomdross passed away on 6/4/24 after suffering from debilitating sciatic nerve pain for 1.5 years. DM if you'd like to attend his memorial service. We will love him forever. -his family

I just helped a neighbor move her newly acquired Frogger arcade machine across the road. My life is now complete. (Sorry for the terrible picture - I was too excited to frame this well - plus you know logs and traffic).

@randomdross The more the concentration the better, I have heard from friends who had similar issues, it has been a life saver for them.

Finally found a medication that has been a lifesaver for my nerve pain. Not fantastic but it will do for the time being. Now I just need to wait a month for a MR neurogram. 😑 (PRP + 4 sciatic nerve hydrodissections fixed some things but then nerve pain ramped up.)

@rafaybaloch Not yet, but not optimistic about it given what I've read. Arnica roll-on is somewhat helpful though.

@randomdross Not an expert, but have you tried CBD Oil?

@OncoAI @MartinShkreli Everything after Suzetrigine is a long ways off. CBD3063 sounds promising but it's so far away. Next up after Suzetrigine might be its successor, VX-993.

@MartinShkreli I hope VX-548 (suzetrigine) would make it. Pain drug development is very challenging given the complexity of pain. No new drug has made it for neuropathic pain after Tapentadol in 2012.

suzetrigine (non-opioid pain drug) and its follow-ons will likely be some of the biggest drugs of all time (even rivaling GLP-1s). $VRTX is still a long, probably doubles or triples from here, making it bigger than $PFE

What have I become

@MattyFatStaxs @MartinShkreli @punnettsqrcap And drug combos are popular for neuropathic pain because people may only tolerate a low dose of some of these meds. It sucks and we need more options.

@MattyFatStaxs @MartinShkreli @punnettsqrcap As I have learned first-hand over the past few months, any given neuropathic pain drug (of the ones that are available today) has like a 1/3 chance of working at best and maybe an even higher chance of intolerable side effects. That is, Suzetrigine's competition here sucks.

@MartinShkreli @EntropicEmber It looks like it'll be approved for acute pain first, then chronic pain like DPN later. But maybe doctors can prescribe it off-label immediately, not sure how that usually works.
