My wife just passed her US citizenship exam. She moved here from Canada 7 years ago, raised 3 kids, and passed it on the first try. Meanwhile I’ve been here 41 years and couldn’t tell you half of what she studied. Couldn’t be more proud. Welcome home, babe. 🇺🇸

@MariaGa68521784 @ClownWorld I feel ya. At some point in that series of wholesome books Laura Ingalls Wilder referred to a Native American in a slightly unflattering way so now those books are banned forever... So glad we have the thought police, right?

@Raindropsmedia1 This teacher is making close to $100k per year to babysit 5 year olds. She is living a life of luxury including top tier condo, gym, vehicle, and deliveries for the lazy. No savings and nothing for the kids. She is a monster.

A permanent apartment is cheaper than chaos in the streets. By giving housing to all homeless, Finland saved money because of less crime/court cases and fewer ER visits. So never mind the morality of letting all people have a roof over their heads, it also makes economic sense

@WealthChakraa @DavidShuster Finland still has a high trust society and controls the oulay of public funds to avoid scams. Here the democrats use public outlay to line their pockets and fill campaign coffers.

@DavidShuster The fact that you have to lead with "never mind morality" says everything We'd rather argue about money than do the right thing But Finland proved it's both Cheaper AND more humane So now there's no excuse Just unwillingness

@The_Money_Buddy He probably still came out ahead, and assuming he does not have a catestrophic event every year, making good decisions. Health insurance for the young is a scam, they cannot buy a policy based on their risk level, they are forced to subsidize the elderly and chronically ill.

My coworker skipped health insurance to “save money.” One ER visit later: $27,000 bill. At 8% for 30 years? $270,000. Don't be cheap on your health.

@brianschatz Ending hunger is not a funding problem, it is a corruption problem. With the amount of social services we fund there is no need for homelessness nor hunger. However, we let people steal it.

For the amount of money the Pentagon is requesting for this insane war we could eliminate hunger in America for a decade. The problem in our country is not a lack of money, it’s a lack of moral clarity.

From a biological perspective, women’s choice is rational. Young females in the animal kingdom and among indigenous peoples make very similar decisions. They tend to prefer the older chieftain over the young hunter. Why? Because the older chieftain has long since proven that he has good genes. He has reached a relatively advanced age in good health. And the woman wants those same genes for her children.

A six-story residential building in Beijing was rebuilt in just 46 days using 156 prefabricated modules—like stacking LEGO bricks at city scale, with roughly one floor rising each week. China State Construction replaced an aging 1978 walk-up with a modern, energy-efficient home for 54 families—in record time. Using modular construction—closer to assembling cars in a factory than traditional on-site building—the project cut construction waste by 75% and carbon emissions by 30%. The new building includes elevators powered by rooftop solar panels, improved soundproofing, and safer layouts for families of all ages. Beyond speed and sustainability, the approach also made life easier for residents. Instead of waiting years in temporary housing, families moved back in within just five months. Less disruption, less dust, less noise—a brand-new start for the community. Zoom out, and it echoes a broader pattern. Across China, bridges stretch across rough seas, high-speed rail tunnels carve through mountains, and massive projects like the Three Gorges Dam tame mighty rivers. Again and again, engineers face steep cliffs, deep valleys, and choppy waters—and find ways through. Backed by the strength of 1.4 billion people, projects that once looked out of reach are now routine. When communities need safer homes, faster trains, or stronger bridges, the response is simple: build it—and build it well.

They probably paid on that house probably had it built for them probably paid years and years towards the payment Guarantee So when they weren’t able to sell, and they couldn’t make their payment and the bank wanted to throw them out Instead of extending credit, I bet you they said fuck it. You’re not gonna get my equity.

Obama walked into a full-blown economic disaster and didn’t spend every day crying about the last guy…he got to work and cleaned it up. MAGAs can’t go five minutes without blaming everyone else for everything. That’s the difference: leadership vs. nonstop whining.

Operation Metro Surge had significant impacts on Minnesota families, children, schools, businesses, and our economy. As we begin to recover, I just proposed rental support for nearly 10,000 Minnesotans and partially forgivable loans for small businesses that faced revenue loss.
