اسلام آباد: 8 اپریل، 2026. وزیرِ اعظم محمد شہباز شریف نے وفاقی کابینہ کے اجلاس کی صدارت کی. وزیرِ اعظم کی کابینہ اجلاس میں آمد پر پورا ہال تالیوں سے گونج اٹھا. وزیرِ اعظم نے تمام کابینہ ارکان کا شکریہ ادا کیا. وزیرِ اعظم نے وفاقی کابینہ کو خلیج میں جاری کشیدگی کے خاتمے اور جنگ بندی کیلئے جاری پاکستان کے اقدامات و کوششوں کے حوالے سے اعتماد میں لیا. وفاقی کابینہ نے وزیرِ اعظم شہباز شریف، نائب وزیرِ اعظم و وزیرِ خارجہ سینیٹر اسحاق ڈار اور آرمی چیف و چیف آف ڈیفینس فورسز فیلڈ مارشل سید عاصم منیر کی جنگ بندی اور خطے میں امن کی کوششوں پر انہیں خراج تحسین پیش کیا. وزیرِ اعظم و وفاقی کابینہ نے قوم کو جمعہ کے روز پاکستان کی کوششوں کے مثبت نتائج پر اللہ کے حضور سجدہ شکر بجا لانے اور جنگ بندی کی مستقل امن میں تبدیلی و پاکستان کی ترقی و خوشحالی کیلئے خصوصی دعا کرنے کی اپیل کی. کابینہ ارکان نے پاکستان کی سفارتی محاذ پر کوششوں اور اس پر دنیا بھر میں پزیرائی کو تاریخی قرار دیتے ہوئے ملکی معاشی ترقی کیلئے محنت کے مضبوط عزم کا اعادہ کیا. کابینہ ارکان نے اپنے تاثرات میں کہا کہ پاکستان کی مخلصانہ کوششوں کی وجہ سے خطہ مستقل امن کی جانب تیزی سے گامزن ہے. وزیراعظم شہباز شریف اور آرمی چیف و چیف آف ڈیفینس فورسز نے انتہائی کشیدہ اور نا امیدی کی فضا میں فریقین کو جنگ بندی پر راضی کرکے دنیا بھر میں پورے قوم کا سر فخر سے بلند کیا ہے.

I had a warm and substantive conversation with President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran, this afternoon. I conveyed my deep appreciation for the wisdom and sagacity of the Iranian leadership in accepting Pakistan’s offer to host peace talks in Islamabad later this week to work jointly for the return of peace to the region. President Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s participation in the upcoming negotiations and expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts, while conveying his best wishes for the people of Pakistan.
