Windrose devs just announced the first major update with the Ashlands biome and a bunch of new systems and features is gonna take at least six months. They said “All the new content and features we want to deliver takes time” and asked players to “Please have faith in us once again.” Windrose had one of the best Early Access launches this year. Over a million copies sold in the first week, peaked above 200,000 players, and it’s sitting on Very Positive reviews. The studio is finishing up bug fixes first and wants each big update to feel like a real expansion instead of rushing out small patches. I think they didn’t expect so many players at launch

This matches the 2026 hardware lineup Valve announced last year, which includes the updated Steam Controller, the Steam Machine mini PC, and the Steam Frame wireless VR headset. All three products were originally planned for early 2026, but were delayed by shortages of memory and storage components.
