Shouldn’t my mention of the Spartacus League imply that I do not believe that the Bolshevik use of the swastika has the same connotation as that of the Freikorps?

@SKryakwa @FromPetersburg2 Tbf (though the original tweet certainly didn’t know this), the association of the symbol with the völkisch politics from which Nazism sprang predates Hitlers movement. For instance—members of the Freikorps that put down the Spartacists in 1918 often adorned themselves with it.

@Aramori_ ofc there are dozens of reasons that there aren't more women in esports but this reminds me a lot of the history of women breaking into other fields. people who could have made it are crushed and burnt out unless they perpetuate the toxicity and hypermasculinity
