On #AmbedkarJayanti, let’s revisit the overlooked legacy of the Dalit movement in colonial Gujarat. While mainstream narratives center Maharashtra, Gujarat too was part of Bombay Province, where Ambedkar emerged as a pan-Dalit leader as early as the 1920s. doi.org/10.1080/146089…

The history of India begins with the Nagas, who were the mulnivasi of India. Babasaheb has told the entire history of the Nagas and their struggle with Brahmanism in his book Caste in India, film director Pa Ranjit has depicted this truth in his film Thangalaan. Masterpiece!

No one is united with you. The reality is that you are seeking cheap publicity and want to become a leader of the so-called upper castes. I can sense your frustration after just a few years of reservations, so imagine the other side with thousands years of caste oppression.
Anuradha Tiwari@talk2anuradha

I am being attacked by both left & right. But I do get their frustration. For the first time, General Category is united. Just like any govt policy, Reservation is debatable. It's not my problem if some people think it's their birthright. But never mind, this is just a start.

You are fighting for nothing, only seeking to preserve your caste privileges, which are now being questioned by marginalized sections in the democratic spaces. Historically, people have been divided along caste lines, with Brahminical forces at the core of these divisions.
Anuradha Tiwari@talk2anuradha

This is exactly the kind of mindset I am fighting against— dividing people on the basis of caste and religion. It's a shame that someone with such a radical mindset calls himself an educator.

In the name of meritocracy, the hidden language of caste functions to exclude a large number of people, a fact that everyone is aware of. Moreover, the concept of 'merit' is constructed in a way that reinforces these exclusions.
Anuradha Tiwari@talk2anuradha

Imagine having #Reservation in an organisation like DRDO, responsible for developing defence technologies of a country. Is this even safe? Shouldn't merit be the only criteria for hiring in defence? This is beyond absurd.
