A new step in a pattern of deliberate disregard for international law & the United Nations.
Israeli forces stormed into an UNRWA health centre in East Jerusalem. This is a United Nations premises.
Israeli authorities then ordered the centre to close for 30 days, depriving Palestine Refugees of access to primary health care.
Meanwhile, water and power supplies to UNRWA facilities - including health and education buildings - are scheduled to be cut in the coming weeks.
This is a direct result of legislation passed by the Israeli parliament in December, which stepped up existing anti-UNRWA laws adopted in 2024.
The recent International court of Justice ruling restated that the State of Israel is obliged under international law to facilitate UNRWA’s operations, not hinder or prevent them.

The @UN footprint in occupied East Jerusalem is shrinking fast. Yesterday, in a disgraceful move, Israeli security personnel forcibly entered the UNRWA Jerusalem Health Centre, demanding the removal of UN signage. The Jerusalem Health Centre has been supported over decades by member states, many of whom have visited the premises. Later on the same day, a temporary closure order was issued against the Health Centre, closing it for the next thirty days. It may never open again. Simultaneously, @UNRWA has received notifications from utility providers of impending severance of electricity and water supplies to multiple facilities across #EastJerusalem. These buildings include schools, health centres, and other critical service points. It is not possible to operate humanitarian services without electricity and water. Yesterday's developments follow the December 2025 amendments made to the anti-UNRWA Knesset laws. These shameful tactics are part of the relentless campaign by Israeli authorities to unilaterally prevent UNRWA from executing its #UNGA mandate in occupied East Jerusalem, which does not fall under Israeli sovereignty. The application of Israeli law therein is illegal. In October 2025, the @CIJ_ICJ ruled that Israel is obliged to facilitate relief provided by UNRWA. And yet, the present actions represent the very opposite. These amendments, if implemented, will signal the end of UNRWA’s decades-long operational presence in East Jerusalem.

Food assistance depends on access. Without usable roads, relief cannot move and people cannot be reached.

Nearly 42,000 people in #Gaza have life-changing injuries because of the war, according to @WHO. One in four is a child.
Gaza now hosts the largest group of child amputees in modern history.
With the collapse of the medical system during the war, those with serious injuries struggle to get the treatment + rehabilitation they need to rebuild their lives.
@UNWRA teams together with WHO & partners are sparing no efforts to make sure they are not left behind.
Since the war began, they have provided essential psychosocial support to more than 30,000 persons with disabilities, with over 8,000 of them receiving assistive devices + rehabilitation services.

In Gaza, more than 70 children have been reported killed since October 10th, when the world hoped the relentless violence and distress for more than one million children would end.
A ceasefire must translate into genuine safety for children, not more loss.

On this International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People we reaffirm a simple truth:
The Palestinian people have a right to dignity, justice & self-determination.
Yet over the last 2 years, these rights have been violated beyond comprehension.
