Yaakub Ira Vijandre, 38, is a Filipino-American photojournalist, activist, and DACA recipient detained by ICE since October 2025 despite no criminal record, targeted over his pro-Palestine advocacy.
He documented protests and posted about Gaza. The government revoked his status over social media it claims “glorified terrorism,” and he has now been held in ICE detention for nearly six months.

Genuinely what was the No Kings protest supposed to accomplish? Was the plan that Trump would just look outside and say “Oh, no kings? Okay I’ll leave then.”
We have millions of Americans who clearly want him gone but the best we have come up with are peaceful marches? That is not how you remove a dictator. Can the organizers of these protests start organizing a revolution with a plan of action please.
