@LFC Time to say goodbye to Arne Slot. Team is lacking in any fight, ideas and a solid identity. So easy to play against.

Every Árd Fheis is special, but this weekend is a genuinely historic milestone as we mark 100 years of Fianna Fáil. Driven by our members, our proud tradition of public service remains vital. #AF84 #100bliain

The reason Israel keeps doing well at Eurovision is not that the Israeli government is good at marketing. The Israeli government is, on most days, one of the worst-marketed states on earth. The reason Israel keeps doing well at Eurovision is that millions of people across Europe are watching the same news that other Europeans watch, reading the same op-eds, watching the same celebrities pose in keffiyehs, and have decided, quietly, that they disagree. open.substack.com/pub/henmazzig/…

@LadyRoseWales @NewstalkFM October 7th was an horrific act of terrorism. As what has happened since. But you’re a fool if you think this shit started then.

'It's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen.' Father Ted co-creator Graham Linehan has started a petition against RTE’s Eurovision night programming, after it was announced they would be airing My Lovely Horse, the Eurovision themed episode of the sitcom. He debates RTE's decision not to broadcast the Eurovision, and for Ireland to not compete, with Shane Coleman on The Hard Shoulder.

@s8mb Pearl clutching virtue signalling , and rather ironic that they put on a (wonderful) Linehan alternative given his views on the matter.

Not only is Ireland not participating in the Eurovision this year because of Israel, RTE isn’t even broadcasting it! It’s not being hosted in Israel, RTE is censoring it simply because Israel is allowed to compete. Completely weird. irishtimes.com/culture/tv-rad…

@s8mb Most people barely watch it if their country is participating. Why would Irish TV license payers be expected to pay for the shit? Nowt weird about it.

Not what I expected to wake up to this morning. Utter madness. The biggest message yet if we were in any doubt of direction of the party. Chambers too, but at 77, refusing to step aside.I'm seeing unionist panic...there will be pacts galore to prevent the change that people want.

@Jebbyjustme1 @BBCNewsNI He’s not afraid to engage in real debate. Not like the rest of political unionism. Even if his responses can be acerbic - at least he wants to engage with those who don’t agree with him..

@BBCNewsNI Odd reading the nationalist "sympathy' for Doug here, when they lambasted him for his Para flag post - really odd. What's going on ...

The answer to the challenges we face is not separation, division or endless constitutional wrangling. It is cooperation, hard work and making the United Kingdom work for all our people. We are better, safer & more prosperous together.

For the first time ever, there could be three nationalist, pro-Independence First Ministers across these islands. Historic change is happening. The demand for independence is growing.

@PhilipIngMBE @JonBurrowsMLA Resorting to insults now Philip. Good man. Firstly I am not a shinner. Secondly, in a democracy it should be possible for people to call the place that they live in anything they want.

@PhilipIngMBE @JonBurrowsMLA There is only absolutism in a authoritarian society. We don’t have this. You are focused on names when there are huge swathes of the agreement (DUP hasn’t signed) that have not come to fruition. We need to get to a shared society but lecturing each other place names? Come on!

@PhilipIngMBE @JonBurrowsMLA What’s more, one of the architects of that agreement was Seamus Mallon. He never referred to it as Northern Ireland.
