@iyalode43 Let me see. How many teams are located in Melbourne? 10 (forgive me Geelong) how many teams are in Sydney? 2. Do the maths. Every side plays 11 or 12 home games per year. Get over it.

GWS playing their 21st AFL venue of their short life. Meanwhile, Magpies have the next 10 matches at home in Melbourne. Joke #AFL

@davidking34 @sboppy @1116sen Please don't protest too much. Not sure about you but I did hear Adam & Gerard this morning. Concerned about the comments when freo only won because of the Pies not taking their forward chances in the 4th and skill errors when not under pressure. Just wait & see 4&3 after 7games

@sboppy @1116sen In what way was the conversation disrespectful? When will they be a genuine top 4 team again? Why is that disrespectful? Cause you don’t agree ?

The utter disrespect shown towards Collingwood from SEN commentators is quite concerning. No other team has so much negative comments towards them on a regular basis. And no other media outlet show the same disrespect they are more levelled in their comments @davidking34 @1116sen

@SenatorCash In 9 years in power how many powerstations did the #LNP build or see built during that time? You're the cause of our current problems which will be solved without your help.

Australians want three things: Lower bills Reliable power Secure jobs The “Net Zero” reality delivers none of them: just increased costs, rushed targets, job losses and more risk for families and industry.

@swandane Dane perhaps you should try the Queenstown NZ cabs nz$70 for 9km from Airport. That's outrageous

We all know melbourne is absolutely rampant with crime these days (luckily the machete bins are working 🤥) but let me tell you what the biggest crime here is. It’s the price of a taxi. It’s dead set extortion. It’s so outrageous I kind of have to tip my cap to them

@KatyKray73 Perhaps you prefer further right. I suggest your use of "the left" is pathetic and lazy. Most are left of Matt.

I’m sick to death of the term “far right”, used and misapplied to dismiss anything the left opposes. It’s a pathetic, lazy label. We’re not “far right” We are just right! 🙌🏼

@arbsmichael The important point is you wouldn't be paying all the extra costs you correctly identify if you can't get a home loan. The 5% deposit relates to getting a loan to cover the costs.

The "5% deposit” is a political myth. Here’s the truth for a first home buyer in South Australia buying an established home for $900,000: $900,000 purchase price + $43,330 stamp duty + $198 mortgage registration + $9,012 transfer fees + $1,200 conveyancing + $600 bank fees + $2,660 rates, water & other adjustments = $957,000 total cost Even if you meet the First Home Guarantee criteria (no LMI, 95% loan): $855,000 loan amount $102,000 deposit required from savings That’s 11.3%, not 5%. When politicians say, “you can buy a home with just 5% deposit”, what they really mean is “you’ll still need over 11%, plus taxpayers are guaranteeing your debt.” This is not a housing fix. It’s another inflationary demand-side illusion dressed up as a solution.

@JimFergusonUK The reality is that each Australian has an id as soon as you start work , it's a tax file number. If a digital id forces the identification of the trolls and bullies on social media, it has to be a good thing. If you have a passport, it's an id.

First they say it’s “for the kids.” Then they lock the entire internet behind an ID gate. Australia, this is the line. Do. Not. Cross.

@White_Adam I wonder what umpires like Glenn James think about the change? He bounced the ball at every stoppage in the single umpires days. His frame was slight, but he was successful & didn't complain. Time to toughen up.

The whole point of the umpire bounce in Australian football is for it not to be a predictable and controllable outcome. The removal of the bounce is another example of coaches controlling the game. We may as well use a round ball so we don’t get unlucky bounces in general play.

@Thomo_Grant 100% It's about time we applied the rules as written. You can't rely on 4 umpires having the same interpretation on a rule. I also didn't believe the last touch out of bounds rule was introduced yet. If these umpires are the best we have, then we're in deep shit

Umpiring atrocious for both teams. Unfortunately everyone including AFL say “ Well it all evened out in the end”. Such an amateur approach. McInerney block on Frampton for Rayner mark let go and no comment from anyone. Yet if it’s paid there’s no comment from anyone. We have a game that’s completely in the hands of the interpretation of umpires.

@larissawaters Well fancy, less hours for the same pay it's a wonder it wasn't the perfect 100%. It seems to be the prevailing culture now, most want more for less. Hard work for a fair wage never hurt anyone in my working life.

A new Resolve poll shows 76% of working Australians support a 4-day work week while maintaining pay levels.  It’s been over 40 years since Australia’s last reduction in working hours — our society has changed, it’s time working hours reflected that.

@aaronsmith I'm glad we've got Magnitsky laws bcuz I'm starting to get the feeling that Netanyahu pays a bit too much attention to Australia given our small role on the world stage. Question is why? Only thing I can think of is that there must be a lot of Israeli money invested here 🐝

@wal03041983 @AFL Probably not a bank. But invade a home with a machete, steal a car and menace the home occupants, then claim you're 17 with mental health issues and you will get bail immediately and most likely, a good behaviour bond.

Less than a week ago, Jon Ralph said Jeremy Howe was upset and had not been offered a contract. Today it has been revealed he will sign a new contract and it was agreed to a few weeks ago. When is there going to be some accountability for journos such as Kane Cornes and Ralph who endlessly muck-rack? #GoPies #AFL
