god i miss the hype around this so much. one of my favorite memories is when my middle school took everyone who read the book on a field trip to see the movie and most of us blew through the entire series too because we couldn’t stop. so glad i got to grow up during peak YA dude.

All that today has shown me so far is that we need a system that gets teams like UNCW, Yale, Belmont, SFA, etc more of a shot at an at-large bid.

@RedSoxYapper There was a playoff hockey game during Covid that went 6 overtimes lol, that game was absolutley insane. By the 5th overtime the players were so exhausted once they past the blue line they were just throwing the puck at the net praying it went in lol

Hockey has a timer, so at some point it reaches a moment where it becomes physically impossible to win Baseball will have you down 8 runs in the bottom of the 9th like “I can’t turn this off” because if you do that WILL be the time they actually come back.

@jfazli @DanClarkSports The 3 way tiebreaker is on runs allowed (per outs). If the tiebreaker were solely on run differential, you’d have teams running up the score, perhaps unfairly. I love runs allowed as a tiebreaker and it’s common in baseball tourneys
