Half a million dollars to leave your own country. This, from someone who once left Canada himself to build a career in the U.S. and paid virtually nothing to do so. So let’s be honest about what this is. It is not economic policy. It is not nation building. It is control. A government that has mismanaged the economy now wants to limit your ability to seek opportunity elsewhere. Instead of creating reasons to stay, they are looking for ways to make it harder to leave. You do not grow a country by locking people in. You grow it by giving them a reason to believe in it.

The guy did the very thing to get a Microsoft job decades ago and paid 30 bucks. Now he wants young Canadians to be trapped here. The Liberals are nuts.

Were Canada to ban floor crossing, we would be suppressing the individual minds of those we elect, and further concentrating power in party leaders. As things stand now, floor crossing protects independence and keeps pressure on leaders to treat their colleagues well lest they watch those colleagues head elsewhere. Floor crossing – and the threat of it – protects us from a system where those we elect turn into mindless drones serving nothing more than the centralized will of ‘the leader.’ So, whether you agree with Gladu’s decision or not, it is essential to protect the right of MPs to cross the floor. The individual mind is the most precious resource we have.

Update on Maya from her father: The neurosurgical team spoke with me today and they’re very happy with the output from Maya’s EVD. Over the past five days they’ve gradually challenged the drain, and there has been virtually no CSF draining during that time. Because of this, the neurosurgeons strongly believe that Maya no longer has hydrocephalus. With that in mind, the decision was made today to remove the drain. They explained that they’re giving her what they call a “brain holiday,” allowing her brain some time to rest while also reducing the risk of infection before her upcoming surgery to place the synthetic skull prosthetic back in. When the time comes for that surgery, they will assess everything in the OR using ultrasound. Based on what they see, they will decide whether to place the EVD back in or if she may not need it at all. Little by little we’re getting there, Maya Bear 🐻❤️

Update on Maya from her parents Sweet baby. She had her breathing tube removed to see if she can breath on her own... what a terrifying experience.. I held her hand while she winced, but shes doing great. Best that could have been. My sweet girl, is looking more like her beautiful self today ❤️ Dahlia is also coming to visit with her aunties, who shes been staying with. Shes had a very difficult time with all of this aswell. Shes so incredibly grateful for the love she too has received from so many caring people. We're going to have a dahlia day tomorrow. Im looking forward to that. ❤️
