Over 400,000 signed a petition in order to NOT have a referendum. REaffirming Alberta as part of Canada. That petition asked Smith to vote on the question in the Provincial Legislature (MLAs). Danielle wants to avoid this. She and separatist MLAs would have to declare positions.
