Get ready for what’s gonna be a VERY unpopular opinion.
If it’s true that Maurice’s backer chose (or was forced ) to stop backing him, Maurice’s makeup figure should have been wiped clean.
I’ve been in both sides of staking for 30 years. If the backer chooses to stop backing the player, the makeup figure is washed clean. This is regular practice in the poker world.

@SavagePoker No coaching while in FT area. no visuals. No yelling stack sizes and bet sizes to your rail. One of the beautiful things about poker is the illusion that there is no gatekeeping for tournaments. If it starts looking like Ready Player One, recs are going to stop playing.

Thoughts on a subjective rule that said simply this:
No coaching in the tournament area during play is allowed. Tournament breaks are not considered “during play.”

@padspoker Thank you for speaking up. Your story sounds like with the delay. It is what it is, at least there is a delay. McK was asking for specific hands and what sounded like bet sizes. So they are getting real time data to their guy on the. Last night they were taking this shit too far

A few years ago I was home and coaching somebody on the FT, I was running sims between every hand on a super computer and it was relayed back to the player inbetween hands from the rail, so I say this perhaps hypocritically, but in the future there should be a rule that no solvers/sims are allowed in the tournament area (maybe this is already a rule this year?)

As a community, we somehow need to do better with the main event footage. It’s our Super Bowl, I’m not sure if November 9 is the answer with a big build up. I’m not sure if all other days empty of events in the series and everybody watches, but the appetite is there I’m sure, we need to maximise and milk this one opportunity every year.
