Back in November, @DHSgov found one — a “criminal alien” who voted despite not being a US citizen. As it turns out, he was a green card holder who, the @nytimes reports, voted for Donald Trump — three times. nytimes.com/2026/02/16/us/…

Biden probably lost the presidency with this single appearance on TV. such amateur-ism! following this, demands for him to step aside, hurriedly choosing his vice-president to run for the presidency, not allowing for other candidates to be considered.... it is hard to comprehend these missteps which, yes, were recognized as missteps at the time, not just in retrospect. so we have a near-police state now, with ICE spending many billions on building detention centers.... & a president openly/brazenly hoping to rig or even cancel elections.

Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change — all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.

The WSJ Editorial Board weighs in: “It’s hard to recall a regulator who has done as much damage to medical innovation in as little time as Vinay Prasad. In his latest drive-by shooting, the leader of the Food and Drug Administration’s vaccine division rejected Moderna ’s mRNA flu vaccine without even a cursory review. This is arbitrary government at its worst.” wsj.com/opinion/vinay-…

T***p embodies, in his heavy flaccid sagging body & sagging clown-face, the dark side of America. it is surprising that anyone was surprised by the racist caricature. his followers are like creatures that have leapt out from beneath rocks, gleeful & gloating. even if his policies don't help them in the slightest, or indeed hurt them, they seem thrilled that his reptile-brain so accurately reflects their own. it is not surprising that an intelligent educated gracious attractive person like Obama is offensive to them.
Molly Ploofkins@Mollyploofkins

Jack White on Trump’s racist post about the Obamas: “How is it possible we've given this evil man so much power?… Arrest this man. Impeach this man. 25th amendment this man. Indict this man. Jail this man. This longtime friend of pedophile Epstein...”

Magnum told reporters at @TheGuardian that it blocked Ben & Jerry’s from creating a flavor for Palestine last year, because it was ‘not the right time’. Meanwhile, Palestinians were living through one of the worst humanitarian crises of this generation. If that’s ‘not the right time’ to take a stand, when is? And if its ’not the right time' for a business with a conscience to speak out, when is? Keep telling @MagnumGlobal what you think of their silencing tactics. #FreeBenandJerrys

one thing that is annoying is how universities are reduced by pop-journalism to singular points of view. anyone who has ever been associated with any university or college knows that there is always much disagreement among individuals; university departments are never 100% behind anything, especially administration; committees bicker, students are not predictable or inflexible; while some protesters draw headlines & excited denunciations, by far more students are involved in their classes.
Joyce Carol Oates@JoyceCarolOates

yes, living there at the time but not involved personally. people probably don't know, or care, but-- UC Berkeley is a massive campus. 98% of the students are not actively involved in anything but their studies. while a peaceful protest is being whipped up to violence on the far side of the campus where a controversial speaker is expected, students are attending classes or working in science labs on the farther side of the campus near Hearst Ave. probably little aware of or interested in the mayhem elsewhere.
