Republican voters don’t stay home because they’re lazy, they stay home when they’re not engaged. Turnout isn’t automatic. It’s earned. Democratic campaigns understand this. They invest heavily in outreach, repetition, and voter contact. If we all want higher turnout, we have to stop blaming voters and start reaching them.
