The fallen soldier was a combat engineer from Division 91 and a resident of Majdal Shams. According to initial reports, he is believed to be the first fallen soldier from Majdal Shams in this campaign. Tragically, this is not the first time Druze soldiers have been among the first to fall in battles on the northern front—similar to the loss of Lt. Col. Alim Abdallah (Sa’ad) and Sgt. Jawad Amer during the early stages of the Iron Swords War, in the very same sector.
